I tried togglesprint, but I actually prefer just holding Ctrl, and I can still Wtap, Hotkey, jump normally etc.

The reason it's allowed is because before the sprint button you had to double tap w, which was always a bit of a dumb way to implement sprinting considering getting hit once breaks your sprint. So a lot of people wanted to use it so they weren't having to double tap w 24-7 (think how many times you get hit in a fight, then times it by 2. Also walking pvp is rather stupid)

Eventually Badlion started allowing it, come 1.7 (sprint key) a load of people still used it & the rules were never changed.

It doesn't give you any advantage KB wise, but obviously does by holding the button for you. So many people are at the same skill level in this game already I don't think we should have anything to lower the skill ceiling. However I doubt it will ever be banned for 2 reasons.
- Mac users can do this with capslock
- Loads of people already use it

I always defined cheating as "gaining an unfair advantage over others". As you can do this on a Mac already it's not really gaining any advantage except freeing up your caps key. I don't use it & I hate that others use it, but I think it's gotta be allowed :<


Imagine if the sprint key was never implemented… It would be the EXACT same argument as an autoclicker.

If it's a convenience, who cares if it is allowed? Many people use it and have been using it for quite some time. If what Hivlik said is true, I guess I'm for making it illegal. I've never used the mod so I wouldn't know.
