Let's get straight to the point: is it really necesarry that only gg and gf can be said when you died??Cause I don't think it is.
It gives you little opportunity to actually be a good sport. I can't say what went wrong/what went right. I can't thank the host for hosting without having to message the host after using /list who actually is hosting. In my opinion it's just really annoying, please consider removing it.

To be completely honest, they could issue a rule where hackusating is a long mute, and spoiling is a ban (after you died).

Spoiling after you died used to be a rule and it used to be a ban, but that did not stop people and it was still an issue. Currently, it is the best compromise imo. And it also prevents people from being overly toxic right after they die since they can not speak in chat for 30 seconds.

I think he means a less restrictive filter, just not as restrictive as it is currently. It really sucks when I want to thank the host or something and I can't, I think this is a great idea.Posted on 03 January 2016 - 12:56 PM
I think the decision, that you only can write "gg" or "gf" is good :).Posted on 03 January 2016 - 03:54 PM
I think hosts (I used to be one) are fully capable to punish the players that actually spoil, it's not such a big issue. The filter just gives players unnecessary restrictions.

-1nah fam. It just helps people to spoil and be toxic towards other players, plus you can just say thanks for hosting when in spec chat (if donator), the host still sees it. I guess people could be put into spec chat in the current filter system straight after they said gg or gf, rather than having to wait 30 seconds.

Rather than only being able to say select phrases (really not even select atm, only gg or gf), why not filter out things? Just make diamond, horse, power, sharpness, fire aspect, etc. filter out just like hackusations would. Of course people would bypass, but it would lower the amount drastically.Posted on 04 January 2016 - 04:13 AM
Maybe add "ty for hosting" to one of the things you can say after u died?Last edited on 04 January 2016 - 06:50 AM by BoonMC
@FarmerMarten Thanks for Posting this, but I have to down vote this (-1).Saying "gg" or "gf" is forced so you have a decision whether your enjoyed your fight or not if you didn't then just say "gg" you can say what you want after you're in "spec chat", that person might not see it, but you can tweet it at them, but there is no way to prevent spoiling or toxicity with out just having the forced "gg" and "gf". The Badlion team would rather not risk spoilers or being a poor sport (w/ toxicity) being put in chat and just have forced choice to be nice or just say "gg". It also gets people into the habit of saying "gg" and "gf" in Arena PVP and other UHC's or Gamemodes.
[NOTE] If you want to say "ty for hosting" say it after "gg" the Host can see both chats.

+1I personally would like to see this introduced although if you remove people may spoil or be toxic towards over players. So I think you might want to introduce this:
When you die you have 15 seconds to say "gg" or "gf" and another 15 seconds to say anything in SPEC chat so people playing can't see what they say. Just a suggestion
