Hey everyone! This thread is here so that you guys can see what each and every one of Badlion's game modes does. Hopefully this helps you understand what you are getting into before you join a game. I will also discuss our rush games format as well as the 45 minute shrink games format.

Here is a list of all of our current game modes:

There are also a few game modes that are hosted only for troll and statless games. These can only be hosted by Senior Staff and above or on special occasions for full hosts:
- Ore Frenzy
- Water World
- Love at First Sight

Here is a quick explanation of what every game mode is:

CutClean
In a CutClean game, all ores are pre-smelted, as well as all food being pre-cooked. You have a 100% chance of getting flint when you mine a gravel block. Kiling an animal is guaranteed to give you 3 food (cow, chicken, pig). Killing a chicken will always give you a feather, and killing a cow will always give leather. Apple rates are now 1% (instead of 0.5%).

Diamondless
In a Diamondless game, you are unable to mine or blast mine diamonds. When you mine the diamond ore, you only receive the experience. When a player dies, they drop 1 diamond. Diamonds are still able to be found in Mineshaft and Desert Temple chests.

Goldless
In a Goldless game, you are unable to mine or blast mine gold ore. When a player dies, they drop a golden head and 8 gold ingots. Gold is still able to be found in Mineshaft and Desert Temple chests.

Horseless
This is pretty self explanatory. In a horseless game, you are unable to ride or tame horses. You can kill horses for experience and leather.

Blood Diamonds
In a Blood Diamonds game, you take 1/2 a heart of damage whenever you mine a diamond. You do not take damage if you find diamonds in chests.

Vanilla+
In a Vanilla+ game, flint rates are increased from 10% to 20%, and apple rates are increased from 0.5% to 1%.

Rodless
Again, a very self explanatory game mode. You are unable to craft rods in rodless games.

Time Bomb
In a Time Bomb game, whenever a player dies, all of their belongings are stored in a double chest (including their armour and a golden head). After 30 seconds, the chest explodes, dealing damage in a large radius.

Barebones
In a barebones game, the nether is disabled, and all ores besides iron/coal drop 1 iron ingot (Basically a goldless and diamondless game). When a player dies, they drop 1 diamond, 1 golden apple, 32 arrows and 2 string. You are unable to craft Enchantment Tables, Anvils or Golden Apples.

Ender Dragon Rush
In an Ender Dragon Rush game, there are 4 End Portals located at the +/- 1500 coordinates (+1500/+1500, -1500/+1500, -1500/-1500, +1500/-1500). There is no border shrink or permanent day. Whenever a player dies, they drop one enderpearl. The aim of the game is to be the first team to kill the Ender Dragon. The number of ender eyes required to activate each portal is the number of players in a team plus one. e.g. an FFA game requires 2 ender eyes to activate, to2 game requires 3 ender eyes to activate, to3 game requires 4 ender eyes to activate and so on. The first team to kill the dragon, or the last team left alive wins.

Soup
In a soup game, when a player drinks a mushroom soup, they are healed for 2 hearts.

Bowless
Very obvious gamemode. Bows are not enabled.

Fireless
Every player starts the game with fire resistance. Fire resistance does not work in the nether and fire weapons are useless.

Backpacks
You (and your allies) have a special inventory that can be shared via /bp.

Blood Enchants
Every level of enchanting you use loses you 1/2 a heart. e.g. if you spend 5 levels of EXP on enchantments you lose 2.5 hearts - Includes Anvils too.

Limitations
You can only mine up to 16 diamonds, 32 gold, and 64 iron during the game.

These next 2 game modes can only be hosted by Senior Staff and above and never have stats on.

Ore Frenzy
So first of all, this is a super OP game mode. Prepare for lots of players to be incredibly stacked.
If you mine Lapis Ore you get a splash potion of healing
If you mine Emerald Ore you get 32 arrows
If you mine Redstone Ore you get an unenchanted book
If you mine Diamond Ore you get a diamond and 4 bottles of xp
If you mine Quartz Ore you get a block of TNT

Water World
In a water world game, the 100*100 area is entirely water. Bring your boats.

Love at First Sight
You spawn into the game as a solo and team with the first player you see. You will not be able to hit or damage your teammate. If your teammate dies, you are allowed to crossteam with another player who also lost their teammate (warning: you will be able to damage your crossteam). There is not time limit to find a teammate. May the best true love win!

Rush Game Formats:
Rush games are held on Badlion for a few different reasons. Sometimes, games are opened late, and need to be shortened so that they finish on time, sometimes, they work very well with game modes such as barebones, goldless and diamondless and sometimes there are just not enough players in the game. Below are the 2 rush formats that will be held from now on.

45 Minute Shrink:
This is the format the we generally use when we decide that we do not have a high enough amount of players for a full game to be worth it. The 45 minute shrink was made so that the game would not be too short, but also not extremely long.

Rush Games:
The rush format is used when either there is an extremely low amount of players in a game, or the Host has decided that the game they are hosting would work well with it. In a rush game, the border begins to shrink at 35 minutes instead of 65. The final heal happens at 5 minutes and PvP is enabled at 10 minutes. Players also spawn with 20 Steak instead of 10.

Some config options were seen as important enough to be here, so here is a brief rundown on those.

Absorptionless
Golden heads and golden apples do not give absorption hearts.

Strength 1
Pretty self-explanatory. If Strength 1 is on the config list, strength 1 pots are enabled.

Nether Off
You can't go to the nether.

There we go, hopefully that explains all of the game modes for you. I hope you enjoy playing them all and try not to spam the hosts about hosting CutClean too much. Have fun playing on the Badlion Network.

I am already aware of the majority of these, but this is really useful for those who are don't know what most are and mostly likely may forget some.
