Signups will be closed at 11:59 PM EST / 8:59 PM PST on January 21st.

This tournament can last for a while. If you sign up, we expect you to attend. The average tournament can last 2-3 hours but it can very well last longer or shorter.


Server

We will be using the Tournament server hosted in North America East. The reason this one was selected is because it's the fairest for all locations in average ping, as EU actually gets better ping to NA-E then NA west players do.


Overview

This tournament will be BuildUHC and SG kits, 5v5.


Rules

All Badlion Network rules apply during tournament play.

The following offenses may warrant a ban from all Badlion Network servers without warning and will be harsher than those usually given out:

• Usage of any unauthorized client modifications/hacked clients
• Usage of any sort of external device that gives the player an unfair advantage over other players
• Threatening, harassing, or bullying other players
• Exploiting game-breaking plugin issues/abusing bugs
• Failure to follow directions given by Tournament Staff
• Any action that causes a disruption to the event
• Any form of poor sportsmanship and/or disrespect, publicly or privately
• Refusing to screenshare for Archybot
• Evading an IP ban (and I will wait to issue the bans 5 minutes before the tournament starts)

Because our client side anticheat not being done, if I (Archybot) suspects a player(s) of cheating (using a ghost client), I may request a screenshare. When requested, you may

• Either decline and forfeit your eligibility in the tournament (resetting your current team round and being forced to play man down or with a sub for the rest of the tournament)
• Accept and allow me to watch you run a few commands and run a special program designed by the developers of badlion.

If you logout before accepting, we will assume you have forfeited your chance to screenshare, and depending on the evidence you will be let go or banned.
If you logout after accepting, you will be banned from Badlion.
If I find any cheat device on your computer, you will be blanket banned from Badlion.

Do not try me with my program, it has detected every known ghost client that has been tested against it (and it's a lot).

Players who break these rules may also be subject to a permanent black list, or disqualification from all future events.

If a teammate is caught cheating, their whole team will be disqualified.

In addition to actions mentioned above, the following may result in a disqualification from the event:

• Failure to show up to event on time
• Excessive camping – You will receive 1 (one) warning if you camp and failure to stop camping will result in a tournament disqualification, this is determined by the staff watching, use common sense
• Lagging to an extent that is unplayable may result in removal from the tournament

Rematches will be granted at the discretion of Tournament Advisers or Admins in only certain situations. Do not ask for a rematch.

I prefer that all people confirm, but it is not necessary.
If I catch someone signing up for someone who did not agree to, the player who signed them up may find themselves barred from the tournament or banned.
We will accept everyone who enters.
Please only sign up in this thread if you have at least 5 confirmed members.
All roster changes should be posted in a new post on this thread.
We will accept roster changes until sign ups close. Afterwards you will play with what you got on the field.

If we get more then 128 teams, the server will only be accessible by the people who have signed up, otherwise it will be open for everyone to spectate.

If we do not receive enough signups, the tournament will be cancelled.


Bracket

We will be seeding players by their team's 5v5 ranking. If there is a tie, we will go by each team's average Build UHC and SG ELOs, excluding the lowest ELO for each kit. If that happens to tie, that tie will be broken by the teams' overall average between both kits.

The tournament will be double elimination.

The matches are played a bit differently than you may expect. The games will alternate between the BuildUHC and the SG kit, always in that order. Sets are played until one team is ahead of the other by two points. Examples of possible scores: 2-0, 3-1, 4-2, 7-5, 10-8, and so on

The bracket will be posted here before the tournament starts.


Maps

All maps may be played during the tournament. No rematches unless a tournament adviser/helper requests it.


Prizes

1st - $1000 to the team divided fairly by Archybot to the team during discussion afterwards. Will be issued through Paypal (I believe, will confirm later).
There is nothing but 1st in this tournament.
