Before you start bashing me, hear me out. Eastern EU servers would not only give better ping to East EU players, but also to Asian players. Asians would get around 100-150ms to these servers, which is good enough. This would solve the entire problem of having to setup Asian servers with good DDOS protection etc.I'm pretty sure Eastern EU servers would have good DDOS protection and be of good quality.
It would have a good playerbase too. All the eastern EU players will play on it, and all the Asians will play on it. Recently, kohi launched kohi.asia which has a decent amount of players on it usually.

East EU wont give any benefit to asians…Maybe middle easterns and indians yea but pretty sure the asia playerbase is mostly located in east and southeast asia
Overall east EU will only benefit certain countries(pretty sure 90% of EU countries get below 100 ping to EU rn)
Asians get way better ping to NA west than east EU(yes I checked)

We cannot just pick any server location and add new servers there. We are always looking for ways to expand our network. Even with our small Austrlia servers, we did not add this location until we saw via our Donations that there was enough of a prescience in the region. We are not going to add any locations if we know that they won't sustain themselves. Anything new we add is an extra cost to the network.
This being said, the first location we would look into adding if we ever did add one would be located on the west coast of America. We have no estimation for when this might happen, as at the moment the costs are too high or the DDoS protection is not sufficient.

You're thinking that the world is actually like it is on the world map. No, the world is a globe, so actually most asians would get much better ping to NA West than to an Eu East server.Posted on 12 January 2016 - 05:51 AM

I also would like to mention that our ping to AU is bad because of the bad route in AU:
Southeast Asia>Hong Kong>Japan>LA>AU
A middle east server wouldnt help us get better ping(fine maybe 40 ping lesser than in eu ;-; which is 240)

Okay you have 200 ping and once you get over 100, there's not that much difference in play style and all that. I live in Kansas, I get 120 to NA WEST and 130 to NA EAST. ( yes ik I have the wurst wifi) but do u see me calling pingers evil? AU internet ISP for badlion is bad for asia that they route the connection through LA(USA) first before AU, giving us a very high ping(270 although we pretty much live next to each other)
I don't know why u want middle east when you have europe…our condition to AU is completely different and caused by the bad routing caused by AU's internet to asia
At least you dont get 2 bars with 120 ping though(MCSG players get 2 bars with that ping, they said)
