I've noticed a lot more toxicity when it comes to sportsmanship lately so I'd like to address the topic in my own opinion here. It seems like 1/5 times I kill someone I get a msg like, "wow, your not even good" or "you were sweating so much." Badlion was never meant for these kind of harmful comments to be exchanged between players. Minecraft is supposed to be a fun game where you can play with your friends and have fun, but raging every time you loose elo isn't my kind of fun. Instead of telling a player how bad they are, how about telling them the exact opposite. One kind compliment can make a person's day or even help someone when they're going through a hard time in their life. Just think, how do you feel when someone tells you "Ez scrub get good"….probably not very good, so why would you want to tell that to someone else? If you find yourself on the brink of exploding out of rage, exit out of minecraft before you can say anything harmful to the other player and just take a break. Sure, getting #1 in any ladder is great, but letting yourself get carried away and potentially harming another player verbally is not worth it.Here's an example of good sportsmanship that literally made my day 100% better: I got killed by a 2200 in build UHC and then they msg me this: "I feel like you deserve this 2200 more than I do, gf"

Recently I fought the #1 gapple at the time. We had a few fights, the first few resulting in me losing. Then, in the last fight, both of our gapples had run out. I get this crazy blockhit combo and won with half a heart. I felt so bad and expected this person to say something toxic as I looked at the leader boards and saw they had dropped to #3, in one fight. I had drained the 38 elo in gapple. Instead they said awww, gf. Shoutout to @HegelsBagels for being one of the best people in the community.Posted on 12 January 2016 - 01:21 AM

+1I respect players who show good sportsmanship. In a competitive PvP environment, people tend to be more aggressive and arrogant. To see that players go out of their way to compliment one another, that's what I consider to be reputation. Not how good you are.

People disrespect other players when they lose a match/game because they dont want their elo to drop or, if you playing UHC, they dont want to restart and get all the gear again. When someone sends you a msg thats syas something like "You deserevre every single elo, gf m8" it makes you feel good. When someone says "Your trash kid, try harded af" thats makes you feel like crap. So please guys, if you are mad keep it on the inside. In all honesty, as good as this thread is, it won't really change anything. I'd like everywhere I go to be non-toxic, friendly and welcoming place to be. Sadly, the internet will never really be a friendly place.Well said anyways.
