Should I update to windows 10? It seems pretty cool and I'd love to try it out, however I'm not really sure about it. If any of you already updated to w10, could you tell me if you've noticed:- Minecraft FPS drops
- Issues with some programs
- Issues with graphic card's drivers
And any other annoying stuff I don't really want to find out myself xD
Please, don't reply with "If you're not sure don't update to w10" or stuff like this. I want to try it, but I want to hear your opinions first if you've already updated.
Also, is there any way I will be able to (eventually) go back to w8.1?
EDIT: I have an okay computer, however my processor isn't the best (it is a dual core).

I haven't noticed any FPS drops or issues with some programs. My only issue has been with my graphics card. After I updated to Windows 10, I constantly got an error message every 20 minutes, causing Minecraft to freeze: "The display drivers have stopped responding and have recovered." I tried updating the drivers and everything but that didn't work, so I looked around on the internet and found an easy fix:1) Turn off Vsync 2) Make sure PhysX is being run by your GPU 3) Set power mode to "prefer maximum performance" 4) Set CUDA - GPUs to your GPU
https://www.reddit.com/r/techsupport/comments/3so0uu/updates_nvidia_graphics_driver_stopped/
It worked flawlessly for me, but I sent this link to my friend who was having the same problem and he said it didn't work. I couldn't tell you if that'll work for you or not.
I believe you have one month to go back to Windows 8.1 if you're not happy win Windows 10. However, I've had no problems other than the one I mentioned above.

What do you mean you can't change the volume easily, it's literally in the right bottom corner, also if you just start typing in the search button, it will automatically search the whole PC.
Nicosby, yes, you should upgrade to win 10, it's a great OS.

What are your specs? What Video Card(GPU) do you have?
What CPU do you have (like the name of it, e.g i3 <####> or Pentium ####)
RAM?
Do you have a stock CPU cooler or a third party one?
What motherboard do you have?
A program called Speccy that can be downloaded here tells you all of this if you don't know it

I'm on an all AMD system. I would say you'd be fine upgrading to windows 10, I don't know much with NVIDIA drivers because I have AMD but I'm gonna say you should be fine.Your computer seems a bit outdated so i mean there will always be a performance difference no matter what OS you have

Also, it isn't best to upgrade to Windows 10 because of security issues I personally have a problem with.Posted on 15 January 2016 - 09:02 PM
Many programs I find EXTREMELY useful on my old Windows 7/8 PCs aren't compatible with Windows 10 (Bandicam, Razer Cortex, etc.)And can someone tell me if Windows 10 OS takes up more RAM than 8?

The only problem i have with Win10 was with the Wireless Driver (i dont use it a lot tho) but with the last win10 build that problem was fixed, my brother has some problems with the sound, it gets weird once a while but if you restart his laptop its fixed, i had some fps boost with win10 from 110 to 150… so for me Windows 10 is a decent OS, but Win7 and WinXP are the best ones for me… (By the way, havent you think to join the Linux Nation? Its way better that Windows)Posted on 16 January 2016 - 05:42 AM

No, never thought of joining the "linux nation" simply because I know nothing about Linux. Windows is okay for now, I guess. I'll do a little research on google and see if I should switch to Linux.
