Some optifine options resetting?

I just noticed that, whenever i restart minecraft, some optifine settings are automatically turned off (VBOs on 1.8 and Advanced OpenGL on 1.7). Is there any way to fix this? Thanks!

UPDATE: The settings reset only when i change from 1.7 to 1.8 and change back, and the other way. Anyone knows a fix?

My solution: don't use 1.8
