There's always the green bars on a minecraft server in the server list, but if that isn't reliable enough for you, go to the command prompt of whatever operating system you have and type "ping na.badlion.net".

I guess I have about 30-40 ping… which is weird because I have used 5zig on other servers to test my ping in game, and I get about 100 more than what is says in the server list.

Nah I rarely potpvp. Sometimes if I am bored but I get crapped on their lol

i dont pot much but ping doesnt affect pot pvp much because the delays are balanced with the 'god ping'
I'll tell u that in pot ppl dont complain much about ping but if u actually played build uhc…its actually hard to kill 2k+ and easy to kill ~1.8k
And those 1.8k are gonna make sure u feel bad for urself by encouraging suicide, death threats, fucking report u every 5 mins for kill aura and spam u about it which is annoying if u havent /ignore him

Im not gonna lie, its kinda hard to adapt to 3 block reach when everyone else can hit you from 4 or 5 blocks away.
