People say famous people are overrated. People say the best pvpers aren't known. Well, what do you say to the top 3 teams all being made of famous people?Posted on 24 January 2016 - 08:54 AM
I honestly think it comes down to teamwork. These are all people who know eachother, and play uhc's near constantly.Posted on 24 January 2016 - 09:03 AM
Well you have a point here, people like Danteh are well known, and Danteh is insanely good at BuildUHC, along with most of team Flux, but there are people like BajanCanadian who kids worship but he would only be around 1500/1600 MCSG here if he tried.Posted on 24 January 2016 - 09:16 AM
The only reason most famous players are well known is because they're good.Posted on 24 January 2016 - 09:17 AM

Decent*
Like, half of team flux is kind of good on MCSG, but a ton of people on badlion could destroy them.

People are using Team Flux as an example of famous players who aren't the best at PvP, but they don't compare to teams like the Honey Badgers.Team Flux is a group of entertainers. They are Minecraft-based content creators who attract a fanbase of Minecraft enthusiasts looking for entertaining content. Although they may not be the most skilled players, they make entertaining videos which are fun to watch, which is why they are famous.
Team Honey Badgers is a group of PvPers. They are almost entirely PvP-based content creators who attracted a fanbase through their talent and PvP skills. People may call them overrated, but most of them have great teamwork and if they were no good then the chances are that they would not be in the position they are today.
Many people in the Badlion community do not find Team Flux entertaining to watch, and I've seen a lot of criticism about them on the server and forums, but likewise the casual Minecraft players who aren't too interested in PvP would probably not find the Honey Badgers very entertaining.
A bit off topic, but I thought I'd throw that out there. As for the OP, the good teamwork and skill from the teams was very apparent throughout the whole tournament which is why they finished so highly in my opinion.

What the guy above said.If someone in the community is considered a god, people go to their YouTube to see how they PVP and their channel keeps growing until they hit famous.Posted on 24 January 2016 - 10:16 PM
