I didn't enjoy the tournamment as much as I hoped but it was the first 1 so I can't really blame you :P I hope it will be more organized in the future and that everything will be a lot faster. I also hope you will actually screenshare people the next time since we ended up fighting a team that had a hacker and NOTHING was done about it and we had been waiting for 5 hours at that time and we only played 2 matches and then we lost to that team and nothing was done about it. But I'm hyped for more of these tournys and I hope you will make one on EU every now and then instead of NA only. Thanks for making a nice thread now I have something to look forward to :DPosted on 24 January 2016 - 01:40 PM

but you gotta think about NAW people. Besides, the only thing close to Eu is Eu

The whole tourney team put a ton of work into this, but special shoutout to Floppeh and Listen for making it happen.Posted on 24 January 2016 - 03:04 PM

The number one thing that I personally disliked was the match scheduling. It's obviously difficult with this sorta thing, but from noon to 4:30, I had to stay available in case we started, and especially from 3:30-4:30, I really couldn't leave my computer for more than a few seconds in case we were called, because I might be the one who gets messaged "ready?" and if I don't respond, we might get dqed.I think this was a big reason you saw so many teams no show, it's incredibly hard to keep 5 people on a server without a break waiting to start their match for such a long time. To prevent future dqs, I think better website integration and better scheduling would help significantly. Being able to give teams a window of time to be on (similar to OCN) would be optimal. Having a confirmation system where every member has to make a website account and confirm within a certain amount of time would be a good way to ensure minimal competency and make sure people will remember to show up.

Most of these things are going to come with our next tournament plugin. Also to be honest the next tournament is most likely going to not all be in one day, the matches are going to be much longer.

I didn't even know that Gberry was streaming it instead of Archy. I found out about it on Twitter too late. Better informing next time :pPosted on 24 January 2016 - 04:44 PM

Good Tournament, My team tied in 7th place, I was pvping like a god at the start but after 10 hours of sitting at your computer you really get tired and my clicks just fell off. It would be nice to have the tournament go on for a couple of days.Posted on 24 January 2016 - 07:35 PM
Congrats to the winners and a huge thanks to the staff who devoted a substantial amount of time and effort into the event.Posted on 24 January 2016 - 09:07 PM
This was an awesome event to run! There were problems here and there but we can't be perfect, things will only run smoother and smoother in the future. Congratulations to Element and good on the other teams in top 32 for playing so well.Posted on 24 January 2016 - 09:09 PM
