*This thread is not to cause problems or more issues, I can understand that the problems stated below would be difficult to fix, I'm just sharing my thoughts with everyone in hope to improve the server as much as possible for everyone who enjoys playing it.*


These are problems that seem to keep occurring and a majority of the players on Badlion would agree about:
#1 The knockback, it seems randomized, it's awkward to get used to and it's just plain weird… If you're an experienced PvPer you'd understand on how much knockback effects pvp. If the knockback on a new pvp server is terrible, 9 times out of 10 people would leave instantly. One of the main factors of why I moved to Badlion from Kohi use due to GCheat, I was fed up of fighting cheaters every other fights - it's also one of the few reasons people play Badlion over Kohi. [What I'm trying to say is most people are complaining about the knockback - seems randomized and unusual, if it were anything more similar to Kohi's kb then it could be much better.]

#2 Hit registration, it definitely feels out of the ordinary as not every hit that is supposed to actually gets registered, could also be one of the reasons on why the knockback is messed up. Basically avoids the purpose of the "skill levels" as combos are pure luck or just turn up out of nowhere, the hits aren't consistent or smooth at all and they're often laggy.

#3 Potlag, if I were to do a couple of 1v1s on Kohi I could turn in an instant and pot due to the quick registering pots. This would allow me to be aggressive my opponents and all in all just get a slight advantage which could allow me to win the fight. Where Badlion is concerned, if I go to pot I have to wait longer than the expected time for my pot to register and completely heal me, thus stopping me from being able to pot conserve and pot fast. If I need to pot in a hurry I'd need to look down and pot like your average 1200, which also wastes the effectiveness of the pot overall - also stopping you from being able to conserve. Which furthermore removes the whole point of skill boundaries, also a reason to why people keep complaining about getting drained.

#4 Lag spikes, probably isn't much you can do to fix this but every so often there is a giant lag-spike during matches which lead to people losing elo and causes more toxicity in chat. Many more people every day seem to be getting really irritated by these spikes and just continuously spam in chat, making the staffs jobs worse.

#5 Limited Ranked Matches, many people complain about this: having to donate to gain unlimited ranked matches. To fix this you could completely change the way the matches work, for example: You could give every player 20 matches or so a day, and then from there you could either do: #1 every 5 minutes or so you get an extra ranked match or #2 you get a select amount of ranked matches in an hour or two, this would make it more "fair" towards the non donators, but it would still continue to bring in donations as people would still continue to find it annoying.

Most of these are accurate except for the last one. It only costs $5 to get donor which is barely anything.Is they increased the amount of ranked matches less people would donate.Its fine how it is

2. Go on hypixel LOL

3. I get more potlag on Kohi than Badlion. I have equal ping to both. Infact, there's a plugin on badlion to reduce potlag. It could be the proxy you are connected to.

4. Not really a fix

5. I think 40 matches a day is plenty tbh.

For the knockback you may like it but many others would disagree.

I'd rather not, I'd prefer to play a decent server.

Maybe that's due to your internet connection, Kohi is much more smoother and consistent for me. The proxy I'm connected to? So you're suggesting I could be on a bad proxy when I'm EU and the proxy I'm connected to is EU?

Read the first few sentences, I stated that it could take a while to even consider a fix for the issue.

Maybe for you, that's your own opinion. Some people prefer to do more or like to grind.

1: Ehh, there may be a few cheeky moments here and there but nothing that I would describe as "randomized".

2: I've seen a lot of people who are laggy get unrealistic combos. I agree with this point.

3: ty_rex222 summed it up quite well.

4: You'll expect lag spikes on any server. As far as I can see it, Badlion has put a good amount of effort towards this issue.

5: IMO, one of the HUGE reasons why players donate is to have the right for unlimited ranked matches. If you were to set a cool down or method for non-donators to obtain ranked matches (besides voting), it would defeat the purpose of having a rank. On the other hand, there have been multiple complaints regarding players not obtaining their matches after voting. The devs will take a look at it.

Since when does Badlion offer 40 ranked matches a day to non-donors? I believe that was a feature in S10 - however, my experiences as a non-donor have been receiving naught but 10 ranked matches a day, with the option to vote for an extra 10.

I'm sorry, but for many high-ranked players (as we can all agree that competition is not inherently a bad thing) recovering from an ELO drain with only 20 ranked matches will prove to be quite a difficult task. I know many 2100s who are non-donators personally (such as @Portee), and I can sympathize with the stress they undergo.

TL;DR I disagree with your point; and it is not 40 matches a day maximum. This would be an excellent addition to Arena PvP.

On my alt I only got 10 ranked, if I were to vote I'd only get 10 extra matches too. On my main however I had 20, so I'm not sure.

I just play the 20 matches I am given and I play SG. Yes I know you get more matches but I don't want to vote tbh. I vote on the odd occasion if I am really hyped up but after that I chill on SG and lose more or less every match. It's fun none the less. That's why I play Badlion. The lag spikes don't really faze me. I was once staff on a server that was constantly DDoS'd but I still played it. It was fun. Badlion will be what I always play.

TL;DR It's 20 matches, I don't really mind. It's fun and that is what counts.

Hey Panda! Just a quick comment on my part - as much as Badlion has certainly put a massive amount of effort towards resolving this problem, there's always room for improvement!
I understand that the network is doing all it can, and Acrolect's point was not intended as any form of criticism, but the fact remains that it's a massive issue that Badlion has been dealing with for quite a while now. Ergo, why not try to make the experience more enjoyable for the average player?

That's all. The point was just to highlight the issue - not to complain.

Personally, on my own alt, I only got 10 matches but I honestly don't know why that would have happened if it isn't as issue for others.

There's always room for improvement anywhere. If you think that you know the methods to fixing BL's lag problems efficiently, be my guest and type up a thread in the same section this thread's in.

Acrolect's point was a suggestion. I just provided constructive criticism in a polite manner, which should always be welcomed.

Understandable. As the hit detection & pot reg goes I have to disagree, I can post a video from my POV if you'd like and slow it down to show you the time it takes for the pot to register if you'd like.

Read the title. "Suggestions To Improve ArenaPvP" Where in this forum post was I complaining? I'm not trying to complain, as stated in the first two sentences I'm only trying to give suggestions of what could be done to improve the server. I don't see why people have to be so narrow minded on these forums.
