I have noticed that every so often when I do a build uhc match that I am able to pick up left over items from party fights as those are the only fights that drop items. I know that you all have "found the problem," but I think that the dropped items may have a hand in lag making because they just sit there sometimes for no reason at all and then they most likely despawn. But what is making me think that these items are causing the lag is because all of these dropped items may be server cleared at once and that might explain all of the chunk updates as there may be as many as a 1000 dropped items waiting to be cleared at once, but if the server has a different sort of clear lag thing then I do not know. But the despawning of that many items may cause the plugin to think that all the maps with items are maps with matches that had just finished and it may want to reset all of them and that may cause the lag. So you may have "fixed" the double loss thing, but what about when people die and dont respawn. Instead, they could just close their minecraft. I do it plenty, on accident granted. Do you still have the chunk loaded when you are in respawn screen? If so, could a person not respawning in an arena after it gets reset several times cause any glitch? Say you die and don't respawn, then come back a day later after the arena you've been "dead" in for a while has reset from other players. Assuming you do keep the chunk loaded as you are logged out and dead, they come back and try to reload the chunk client side. Well, the server has been loading it already. Therefore, it would send more information to the player. Maybe several times. Several as in hundreds of thousands of times. Just my $0.02. I can understand criticism. There's actually a small issue with one or two events that I discovered, there was something throwing off one of our safety checks, didn't affect anything else. Other than that, I was unable to reproduce what you described with spawning with nothing in your hotbar.
The Elo problems about a week ago were because the database was lagging.

Alright, so I've been looking at this a lot lately, and I've been spectating some friends, and this DOESN'T happen to them in any of their matches. Only in the AdvancedUHC and UHC kit matches, in the middle of a match, FOR ME, I see people randomly appear and then die on the map. I can't screenshot it because it's too fast to tell but I'll take some videos and see if I can find this again.Posted on 13 February 2016 - 01:12 PM
