Recruiting the public's help for ArenaPvP Lag
I see a lot of these posts make good points, but what I'm wondering is if these small things such as glitched respawning would actually lag the entire server, and with that much intensity as well. I'm thinking there's a big problem. Other than OVH itself causing lag, I'm thinking that possibly the plugin for ArenaPvP 2.0 could possibly have something wrong inside it that you previously did not think of or GCheat is causing some kind of lag that we do not know about yet. Other things such as glitched spawning and blocks/particles might cause SOME lag, but I dont see how they could create the mass amount of lag that Badlion has now. Anyways, these are just my thoughts on the situation. I hope somebody will actually be able to help

Will you stop guessing or theorizing on what's the issue. We know exactly what the issue is, and now we need to know how to replicate it. Stop saying "I think it's hurr durr" because it's not, it's something (and we will reveal what it is when it's been fixed) caused by the glitched respawn.

By arena tracking, do you mean when arena's are free / in use?

This happends to me a lot, whenever I kill someone, a huge lagspike happends, but only for me and sometimes the people around me too,
On UHC and Pot PvP, Mostly UHC

There is no reason people shouldn't be telling us their ideas for how to break the system. As a matter of fact we don't know what the issue is which is why this thread was made.

No idea how to explain the glitch or come up with a theory about this issue, but I believe it has got something to do with the winner being able to get teleported to spawn while the loser would have to manually respawn in order to get into another match. If a player is laggy or has bad ping I believe he would be able to get glitched into the map. You could try adding auto-respawn so that laggy players are able to get back to spawn without pressing the respawn button. I get timed out quite frequently and when I come back in the server it would show the death screen. When I respawn there is a short delay.

Another guess I have is queuing up for matches. Look into the code of queuing up for matches to see if there might be a bug there. I play on SCB (Minecade) and they do have this bug as well a while back. The bug's cause was from the signs being glitched for some players, thus the server recognises them as being in game but in fact they are still at spawn. This allows people to fly about the map, and even possibly fly to an arena.

I'm not a code genius, in fact I don't know coding; these two theories are complete guesses but I guess you could try to look into my theory to see if it's what's causing the lag.

Edit: I know you're not looking for theories as to why the lag is caused, but what I mentioned were ways to re-create the issue. Not sure if it helps with anything.

I think the lag is coming from hacklion/jmoose. Jmoose was recently banned for hacking,he did admit he hacked since v1 of huzini. This makes me think Jmoose is apart of hacklion and hack lion is always ddosing people. Why wouldn't he ddos badlion? I know what you guys are thinking we can find out if their ddosing me not true. Hacklion is a hacker it has it in his name he knows how to ddos without people even knowing they're being ddosed. I might look stupid here but look I know whats best for badlion. Badlion is so laggy now that all people do is ghostkill you and ect. As you can see Ive been drained a lot. Also 1 more idea. Take away all the pot pvp things except 1 that everyone plays nodebuff or a popular pot pvp. Build UHC is really helpful for people warming up for a uhc. I think it would be a shame if you guys took build uhc out. Most people plays Tosti now and Tosti has frame lag but its a way more nice server that doesnt make you lag every fight.( IM NOT COMPLANING) But this is what I think would help the lag. Hope this does fix the lag and hope someone else can too!

Clearly it's something that happened evey match during the 5v5 tournament, what was that? You're saying you took spectators out of the equation… Reports, maybe? Matches that last a certain amt of time? Maybe it's only certain maps? It happened also in the sg fights, but there were no other types of fights, so I don't know what it could be.

Are the lag spikes from the tournament when people died related?

I didn't think that the whole server could get such massive lag from a glitched respawn, that's interesting.

I'm not sure if i understood the problem well because i don't speak english natively (i'm Spanish), but if i'm correct i might bring a new insight to the problem.

Back when events were a big thing, i normally played wars, where you were put on spec mode after you die. Well, sometimes, when i did /leave to go to the spawn (i think the events had something like a party system) i spawned with my inventory cleared, without being able to do anything, and the only possibility to solve this was to relog on the server. I mean, the thing is that leaving events and getting into actual ranked matches can make you be in two simultaneous games.

Also, for that thing about not receiving the ELO of a match, it continuosly happened for like 15 or 30 minutes on an EU server some days ago, coinciding with the problem that noone was able to retrieve their data and being able to play rankeds (only people that logged before could receive the data, and still we didn't win nor loose ELO on this time period).

EDIT: Idk anything about minecraft coding things, but the server may want you to respawn from two different places at the same time, but because of it being impossible it breaks the thing.

o my bad.
This might be a random thing that isn't replicated and is just random. But if it were to be replicated I have a few theories. I've had something happen before that my opponent killed me and right before the server could put him into gmc he got hit by a full charged arrow and died. We both died, and maybe the server didnt tp him into the correct place maybe? dk

didnt you add that thing that reduces the small lighting updates and just does one massive one a while ago? maybe its causing every chunk in the world to be updated over just the ones that need the lighting update.if it only relates to kits with block placing it could be a possibility.

I use it too and it hasn't produced any abnormal chunk updates.
