Getting drained fix

Everyone has been drained by a 1400 before. You start the fight, thinking it might be easy, and then realizing they are actually really good. Eventually they beat you and you drop 30 elo, looking up their badlion profile they might have 2k elo in multiple different ladders. The skill they have is far misrepresented by their elo.I'm not sure the difficulty in coding something like this, but perhaps there could be a system like csgo, that your first 10 matches or so are placement matches. When someone has less than 10 matches in any given ladder, their elo will be unranked. This allows them to fight various players of different elo so that they can be placed with a more fitting starting elo. If the said unranked player is killed, the person who killed them gains 5 elo, or losses 5 elo if they lost. What do you think?

Not how elo works but i feel you a lot…. I fought a 2k in kohi/nodebuff twice when he was 1400 in vanillaPosted on 06 February 2016 - 09:33 PM
The best way to avoid draining situations is adding an ELO range system. Our ladders are too small to have one for every ladder, but I hear it will be added for build UHC.Posted on 06 February 2016 - 09:35 PM
