Hey there! I think we all know that in UHC, spectating and telling your friends where people are to kill, otherwise known as ghosting, is getting a bit unfair. I think it has come to the point where if you dont have a "spec" you have such a disadvantage. For example, a spectator could tell you exactly where someone is who would make you full diamond, or an easy cleanup is. And when i go to twitter, i see "i went to 0,0 enchanted 30 mins in with no spec and won, gg" So i think this is getting a bit out of hand since this is not what UHC is about. Also whenever i go to a stream, i always here someone ghosting/speccing who's in the call, and this just makes me kinda sad to be honest. I dont think this is what UHC should be. It just be skill as much as possible. If someone has a "spec" they can kill full irons with pots, fire aspect, or if you have half diamond, they could easily tell you where someone is who has the exact armour to make you full diamond. So i was thinking of a way to stop this from happening because even if you do it yourself, you have to realise, it is very unfair.
I first thought make it bannable, which would stop streamers from being able to do it but so many people dont stream. So i was thinking to possibly make it so you cannot spectate until a long time after the UHC has started, maybe 500x500 with he exception of mods, obviously, so people can still have a ton of fun spectating and seeing whats happening without people abusing this. Becauuse the point of being able to spectate is to see whats going on and to have fun watching the game after you die, not to abuse it and help your friends.
If someone else has a better idea I'd love to hear it <3

@mods just so you guys can see this and give your opinions <3Posted on 10 February 2016 - 08:15 AM
Or maybe only allow spectating when the game is in 100x100 at the very end, because that is where spectating matters the most. Maybe when the boarder is at 500x500, because that is near enough to the end of the game that "ghosting" wont matter muchPosted on 10 February 2016 - 08:34 AM
Ehh, Specs cannot go underground, also it is a Donator+ perk. I assume we will be keeping it because it has not been a huge issue recently.-Matt

I understand that, but at the end of the day, if you go to a stream, they always have a spec helping them out and i do think its becoming a big issue~sam

In my opinion leave spactating how it is because its only for lions and d+ .-Antarctic

If you think about it, its kinda like using tracers if you have a d+ or lion spec thoughPosted on 10 February 2016 - 05:37 PM

Given the fact that it would be impossible to enforce a rule to disallow speccing, it wouldn't be fair to the few people who play by the rules. At least given the current rule, everyone has the chance to have someone spec for them.Posted on 12 February 2016 - 04:18 AM
Very fair @LENAvision thank you for your opinion <3Posted on 12 February 2016 - 01:14 PM
Plus it's not fair to take away a donator perkPosted on 12 February 2016 - 05:08 PM

Yeah you can't take away something someone's paid for, so there'd have to be a rule on no ghosting or w/e, which would be near impossible to catch.

We pay money to get these perks :/
