The amount of people getting huge advantages from lag recently is just stupid. I was almost 2.1k elo yesterday, and now im 1850. Aside from not playing my best, this was largely from fighting lower elos that literally either glitch around and basically ghost me, or people taking 2 second delayed knockback which makes it basically impossible to combo them. This is completely unfair. I propose that they add "lag advantage" to the report system, and if a mod deems it true that a person in a ranked match is having an advantage due to lag, that they have power to basically end the duel and no one loses any elo from it. It would also temporarily lock the lagger from joining ranked, and supply them a message informing them on possible ways to reduce their lag. These possible ways could be; using another proxy (NA,NAW,EU,AU), or to restart their internet. They would be able to rejoin ranked 1-2 mins later.EDITS:
Report will only go through to staff if the player is deemed laggy. This can easily be checked by the server quickly checking if the player is sending less/more delated packets to the server.

Its so fucking annoying fighting people that are lagging. Unfortunately theres nothing they can do about it as they dont wabt to punish people for where they live or their internet which i can understand. Wheb people get such bad ping i dont understand why they still play, i wouldn't.Posted on 10 February 2016 - 11:30 AM
This will probably never happen since staff don't have the time to constantly end duels since people will abuse this and report at the first sign of lag or maybe hope a staff member will end the match so they don't lose ELO.Posted on 10 February 2016 - 11:31 AM
Its not really a punishment, just something that would protect higher elo people and hopefully help fix the other people's lag. The lag advantage is honestly fucking undeserved, so they in now way deserve to drain people just because they lag.Posted on 10 February 2016 - 11:35 AM
are you talking about like teleporting and shit with 300 ms or are you talking about 100+ ms with delayed combos?Posted on 10 February 2016 - 11:40 AM
People with 300 ms just glitching. Also people with actual 1 second delay, to a point where they cannot be combod because they do not move when hit.Posted on 10 February 2016 - 12:46 PM

Let met get this straight you want too punish people with bad internet for having bad internet. Ever notice how these "laggers" are always low elo's yea thats because its way too hard with there connection to get there elo up. If anything we should feel bad for them, maybe your just bad at pvp always a possibility. I dont run into "laggers" everPosted on 10 February 2016 - 01:14 PM
This is particularly a build uhc problem, and I can see that you do not play it much. It is by far more unfair to non laggers as they are the ones suffering most, especially higher elos as they lose way more elo than the lower elo lagger does. I avidly fight 1400-1500 elo players who fucking have 1+ second delayed kb. It is completely unfair as they , instead of being knocked back when hit, sit in your face and continue to hit you while they are expected to be knocked back, enabling a combo.Posted on 10 February 2016 - 01:19 PM
Also these people are low elo because sometimes they completely ghost and are killed while frozen. However a decent amount of the time they use that delayed knockback to their advantage.Posted on 10 February 2016 - 01:27 PM

You could maybe not be such a dick about it. If you actually read my post you can see that my idea is a fair solution. It doesn't really punish the player, as 90% of the time the part the part where I mentioned that they offer possible solutions to their lag will help. If not, then they can simply message staff and explain their situation. Anyways, even when they are reported and dealt with, no one loses elo making it completely neutral. Another thing is that most people are cocky and generally think that they will end up winning the fight anyways, and won't report. Mostly the people with actual elo to lose will be the ones worrying. Also check out my post again as I added parts at the end to make it more beneficial.Posted on 10 February 2016 - 01:51 PM
+1I would be 2100+ if it weren't for laggers.

Not everyone can pay for good internet or live next to Badlion's servers. I think over 250+ ping they could get disconnected but…Posted on 10 February 2016 - 03:04 PM
Once again, it is all covered in my post. The people that truly cannot fix their lag will still be able to play. 90% of the time no one will report or the staff won't take action. Largely people with actual elo to lose will report, and if the report is handled, then no one loses elo, the match is just ended without a winner.Posted on 10 February 2016 - 03:13 PM
-1We aren't going to punish people for being laggy. It's really not that hard to deal with.

Whenever someone lags I always manage to kill them m, not the other way aroundPosted on 10 February 2016 - 03:23 PM
Once afukingain, it isn't punishing. And if you honestly think that they are easy to deal with, then you have been insanely lucky and never ran into the bad ones, ones you literally can do nothing more than trade hits with.
