I wouldn't have the time for it. I mean, yeah I was pretty good, but you have to consider that I don't find this game fun anymore and I wouldn't enjoy myself. Even if money were involved, I wouldn't be too interested; I don't want to make money doing things I don't like to do, and Minecraft is one of them. There are just so many other things I would rather be doing than playing Minecraft, and a lot of those things can involve money, too. As for becoming staff here again– I don't really have any intention to mod the server anymore. It's volunteer service, and I don't get much out of it other than the occasional conversation. I don't find it enjoyable to moderate anymore, and I don't really care much for my name being big or something as staff. I already made my "legacy" here and I intend to leave it like that

Yes, I'm very religious.
See this post I made somewhere:
Religion and science don't necessarily contradict, and neither is science the alternative to religion. I don't like getting into religious arguments, but I feel it's ignorant to not acknowledge the existence of an all-powerful being and instead only focus on worldly affairs. Science can't—and will never be able to—answer everything, and putting all your faith into the observable is beyond me.
This convo too
[11/06/15 8:48:17 pm] lillian ⅛ as neat: There are some people, however, who turned it into a religious debate
[11/06/15 8:48:28 pm] lillian ⅛ as neat: I personally don't see the connection between it and religion
[11/06/15 8:48:52 pm] lillian ⅛ as neat: They can go perfectly well with each other, because it's all about interpretation and belief
[11/06/15 8:49:49 pm] lillian ⅛ as neat: not in the sense that you try to find loopholes to fit, but in the sense that they're two different things that don't have much connection between them
[11/06/15 8:50:12 pm] person: And there doesn't really need to be
[11/06/15 8:50:27 pm] person: As we've discussed before
[11/06/15 8:50:30 pm] person: And we both agreed
[11/06/15 8:50:57 pm] person: That religion is more about 'why', if I recall correctly (I think you're the one who proposed that)
[11/06/15 8:51:15 pm] person: And science is a human-invented process to try and find out how
[11/06/15 8:51:26 pm] person: that's how I view it, at least
[11/06/15 8:51:30 pm] lillian ⅛ as neat: Yeah, pretty much
[11/06/15 8:51:47 pm] lillian ⅛ as neat: It's the metaphysical and the physical, and there's not reason for either to contradict
[11/06/15 8:51:59 pm] lillian ⅛ as neat: They're two separate things that are observed differently
[11/06/15 8:52:19 pm] person: like oil and water
[11/06/15 8:52:21 pm] person: they don't mix
[11/06/15 8:52:25 pm] lillian ⅛ as neat: yep
[11/06/15 8:53:32 pm] lillian ⅛ as neat: Science is only the first level of explaining things
[11/06/15 8:53:52 pm] lillian ⅛ as neat: It's merely what we see, and what we can observe and understand as humans in the world that is manifested before us
[11/06/15 8:54:22 pm] lillian ⅛ as neat: Religion explores what's beyond that, and why things are the way they are
[11/06/15 8:55:13 pm] lillian ⅛ as neat: To put total faith in the observable is ignorance, and it is dismissive of possibilities that exist beyond that
I'd type up something but I have this history assignment about art and I want to put my thoughts into that you know

I dunno if there's anyone who I really look up to in the staff team, but I do have a lot of respect for the older mods. It's freekkiller who comes directly to mind when I think of a good staff member

I'd probably want the ability to consciously switch bodies at will with someone. I can then think like said person, act like said person, and all in all understand said person. Of course, I'd always want a way to switch back somehow, and I didn't consider what the other person would be doing with my body but it's all just hypothetical ok
And provided you know how to use your superpower properly, you might be able to lead a perfect life

My special talent is being able to count anything almost instantly and accurately as long as it's less than ~15-16 objects. For example, I could count the numbers in each word you have in your question: 4 3 3 4 6 4 1 7 6 2 2 4 2 9 4 2 8… and so on. I count rather fast for anything beyond that too but I think that's it. Sounds kinda lame, but it's a fun small thing to impress people with that can also be pretty useful in certain situations

Opinions?
Ah… depression. Depression treatment often differs based on its severity, and I've only had mild cases of it in the past. From my own experience, talking was the best way out of it. I often found myself unable to enjoy anything in life, and I felt like I'd failed in everything I'd ever done; essentially, I felt worthless and as though my presence was a nuisance to those around me, including my family. However, through communicating with my parents and adults who cared for me about my personal life and why I felt so awful, I gradually started to feel better about myself. I began to find things that I enjoyed and that I found worth living for. Life has so many ups and downs that you can't help but be amazed at how much it throws at you. There's so much left to experience yet, and I began to realize it wasn't worth shutting myself out to cry my days away. It's motivation that we all need, and once you find it, you'll find yourself walking away from depression.
Medication for depression should be generally avoided and used only for severe cases. From what I've heard from friends, it's like being forced into happiness—once the drugs wear off, you're left absolutely helpless.

potion!! I've been playing potion for the longest, and I still enjoy it the most out of those three gamemodes. It kinda sucks that the community's devolved into drones and bandwagoners for the most part, but a lot of the people I've enjoyed talking to came from the potion scene

I love em dashes because of how versatile they are—it's nice how easy they are to work with, isn't it? It's a habitual thing, too, since I use them a lot in essays in conjunction with semicolons. Check this out:
"Historically, art has been regarded more as a depiction of reality (perhaps idealized), or rather as an “imitation” of the real world; this is, in fact, what Plato argued thousands of years ago in The Republic—modernists, however, bend the definition to accommodate for their perspective."
"However, what Ibsen claims is correct; the characters in A Doll’s House are all characteristically equal and Ibsen argues that all humans are people with the same rights—had Ibsen intended for his play to be feminist, he would have narrowed down his true argument: people should strive to understand themselves, develop as human beings, and become who they truly are."
complete sentence + ; + complete sentence + — + complete sentence
If you're a decent writer, you can write entire essays with 40+ word sentences on average just by using that formula and variations of it

good q. personally, i think it's all about tone, formality, and time; since conveying tone in typed up messages is so much more difficult than speaking, or dare i say, handwriting, people generally find alternative methods of changing tone. i wrote up something somewhere in the donators' lounge let me see if i can find it yeah i couldn't find it oh well
but basically using abbreviations just shows informality and i love it
i like to use rly, p and yk a lot
i've always kind of hated tbh and imo so i use it usually when i'm poking fun but tbh they're kind of growing on me
