I use my mouse wheel instead of hotkeying, so putting my rod in 1 is better for me.

I'm not really a big fan of melee, I prefer bow over rod. If you look at my ladders, I'm pretty bow oriented. And yeah, like you said, I usually initiate by shooting a half-charged shot into an opponent while they try to rod me. Works well with practice, and can actually be helpful in PVP because it does damage unlike the rod.

This went down really well. I love the badlion community. It's really interesting to see all of the setups. I think most are Sword-Rod-Bow, but some are really interesting *Cough* yms *Cough*. I never really thought of half of those, and I love seeing these. I hope a lot of other people benefitted from this thread.I just want to say that if your hotbar setup is getting cluttered or you're having trouble with parts of it, it's not too tough to change it. Most important things for me are rod and sword, and I might try something like yms's setup, which is interesting so to say the least. I usually put sword in 1, almost always and rod I can do 2, 3, or 9 thanks to my f key.
I'm just gonna give some advice about setups and what you should do if you have trouble with a part of it:
I don't think you should use mouse buttons, because I've started to jitter click and my mouse buttons have completely died down because I couldn't jitter and use mouse buttons. It works for some, but it's tough to jitter. If you have trouble reaching a certain slot, then change the hotkey to something around your fingers. I advice F, C, and V. I have small hands so those are best for me, but some like G. Don't add too many at once, because you'll confuse yourself. I'd constantly MLG lava…
I don't know anywhere else where I could post 30 seconds of my time and have all of this response.
