Staff Thread
I always wondered who was being recruited and who was leaving the staff team. There should be an updated staff thread of the changes being made in the staff team. I can honestly host this up I wouldn't care not unless another staff member would like to host this thread.

Hey Tortured,
Badlion has a section in their website called '' Staff Badlion Network ''. (here's the link) ► https://www.badlion.net/staff
If you go on that page, you will be able to know who has been recruited (trial) and who has been removed.
I hope this helped you with what you was looking for.

I like your professionalism. Though this server does not really care about it. I used to think that I needed to be very professional to represent myself in a good fashion but the forums is more so laid back. No one cares if you put a few words as your posts nor do they care if you double/triple/quad post in a row. Many staff here can be professional when they need to, but they sometimes posts with one word to say something. That's just an example. The posts like yours with bolds and colors more so fit in communities like Mineplex as people care about that. You'll see from staying on the forums for awhile. Also I have known about that page since the beginning of joining this server. You can see who was recently recruited but you don't know when.

The staff page shows all the staff and it is updated very quickly but you never know when there's a new staff added or demoted or retired. That's where my idea comes in, you can check the thread to see which exact positions were changed and you can see everything that is going on with the staff team from the outside.

I'm disappointed to hear that, especially considering professionalism is (and should be) the #1 priority for all staff members recruited on Badlion

Professionalism is to be a big role in the priority of staff members. But why does this server allow low-quality posts and micro-posts and excessive posts without another person saying something in-between each of your posts? I have seen it on many threads. Where an admin says something and the thread is spammed with one word such as "hype!" or "first" or "yay". Now don't get me wrong I am not saying the staff aren't professional in any way, but what I'm saying is why aren't these rules implemented to carry out professionalism within the community forums? I can make a huge lists of people who constantly just want posts on the forums (not really staff members) but will say something like "git gud" even though it has nothing to do with the topic. Those people know who they are. I hear @freekkiller has banned some people for excessive low-quality posts which is good, but there honestly should just be a rule.

To be honest, this forum needs a rule on consistent low-quality posts, and I can't say that staff members aren't guilty of it either. The staff especially should have a different standard of rules for forum behavior, though; I think this especially has to stop:

If any staff members are reading this, I'd like you to know that all this does is make you look like drones. If you want to respond positively, add a bit more and possibly with reasoning. You're always representing the network with your tags on the forums, and acting like that on the forums only tarnishes the name of the server you work for. I understand you want to be a good staff member, but by doing that, you're still undermining the admins' credibility. I'm not saying to respond negatively, but please put a bit more thought into your posts.

I do type git gud when I see a post like "OMG lava killed me because it lagged. I lose 30 elo".
I occasionally make a rather pointless thread.
But I don't think there is an issue at all unless you do it too frequently, the only person who has is currently forum-banned *cough* xkniqht *cough*.
@Morsinius and @Tortured thoughts?
I think that simply saying something like git gud or bantering on random posts is fine. Sure people do it a lot, but you make it sound like a real issue. It's not.
Yes, I know I'm on that list.

tl;dr
This isn't an issue as people don't go too far. xKniqht did, and xKniqht got forum-banned. It's simple as that.

I like the maturity in this thread. I don't see it often.

You are forgetting though at this is a minecraft forum. Many kids play here, thus low quality posts are to be expected. Go find a minecraft forum with high quality, you will have a hard time. Usually I allow unprofessional posts and semi-rude arguments, because they are entertaining to watch and I don't want to act like Kim Yong Un here. There definitely are exceptions, look at xKnight for example.

I do get annoyed when people make a valid complaint or suggestion, and they get shot down by multiple rude forum users (and even mods), usually because it's been suggested/complained about before. They can't know that… Anyhow, look on the bright side: https://www.badlion.net/forum/thread/93345 -> We asked for professional replies, and we got them. A lot of effort was put into many replies which I really appreciate.

All in all, I'm not thinking about changing policies here.

Regarding your actual question, no, I don't think a way to list which staff left or joined is needed. Not enough people will care about it, you are the first person to ask for it.

Not much you can do about what players post on a regular basis, but I think it should be a rule for staff to not use the forums to funpost. Rules should be more lenient for players because they have no assumed standard to uphold. I think xKniqht 100% deserved the ban, but I feel like there are other forum users who need to start posting better content.

I do kinda agree with freek in that these forums are naturally poor-quality, but I think that can be changed. He provided an example of a good thread, and I feel like if users have the ability to post high-quality content, they should be obligated to make high-quality posts on a fairly regular basis.

I think this may be an even bigger problem, especially when mods indirectly encourage this sort of behavior
(I had three examples here but I realized it attacked someone specifically)

There's still individuals that roam the forums with low-quality posts. Though xKniqht may have did it excessively there's still people that do LQ posts at a moderate rate that's very unappealing. And to be honest I believe it is an issue. I made some 100s of posts on Mineplex, trying to be as professional as I can. I came to this server and I saw an admin thread by Archybot, I believe it was one of the Judgement Day results and I saw staff and people just saying "RIP" and that's it. I was quite relieved because I couldn't believe I was actually allowed to just say one word as a post, (micro-posting), so I thought this server was just giving the players more leisure. Then I saw double-posts and triple-posts on AMA's and became really shocked. So I thought wow they really don't care what you do hear. Then it just went too far when I was seeing posts that had nothing to do with the topic hence "git gud".

Yup I respect that, didn't think about that too much. Also thanks for the positive criticism. Was seeing what the community thought of the idea.
