I need some tips that can help me in BuildUHC.Posted on 14 February 2016 - 10:51 PM
Bow someone down if they pre-gap so you can get rid of their absorptionIf you're low run away placing some blocks, if that doesn't stop them place water at least 3 blocks high or rod them away, that usually gets the work done
Most of the players in the server will melee rush you, try bowing them down a bit so you can drain a few healing from them
Be sure you can hotkey to your rod and sword (not necessary but helps)
When someone is near a corner/wall try to place lava on their chest/heads and not feet, since they can't water as easily
Practice a lot and you'll improve
There's more to it but it's all I can think of right now

Posted on 01 January 2016 - 12:51 PM I'm not even close to being the best at BuildUHC, but I think of myself as decent, so I may be able to tell you some things that work for me personally when I am looking to win a BuildUHC match. #1 You have to lava, but not spam it. Lava can be the turning point in the battle if you are able to place it strategically. You mostly want to try to lava in the very beginning of the match and the very end. If you do it too much your opponent will know that you want to lava and will be prepared for it, but also, if you spam lava, you are defenseless to your opponent's hits. So do it every so often, but don't overuse it. #2 Rod, but don't spam. Again with this one, rods can initiate a combo, but if you spam it and aren't the fastest hotkey-er, more free hits for your opponent. It is best to rod when you are going into a fight, or when there is at least a 5 block separation between you and your opponent. And if you aren't the best at rods practice, because that is all you can do to get better. That is mostly what I want to say about melee so hopefully this helps a little bit.Posted on 15 February 2016 - 03:48 PM

Get a good hotbar setup that works for you. Move things around so you can access things easily to the things that you feel help you in PvP. That's all I can say I'm not too good so yeah.Posted on 15 February 2016 - 06:29 PM
Thanks for the tips, I am also a really good SoupPvP player so I can hotkey pretty well.Posted on 15 February 2016 - 06:54 PM
Get a decent setup, get good at sword, practice, but most importantly, watch what the good players do.Posted on 15 February 2016 - 07:19 PM
On a personal level, im not very good but i have gathered some knowledge. If someone is beating you in a bow battle, wall up and make them meelee.
Practice the rod. I am not good at it and i am constantly destroyed.
Pre head someone if they are alot higher than you or just to gain some confidence.
Make sure your water is in an easy spot to hotkey to, to prevent lava damage.
