Is there a big difference between a gaming mouse and a regular mouse? I've been playing with this crappy mouse I found in my closet for about a year now, and I'm having trouble jitter clicking with it. Would I have benefit from a gaming mouse or is there no difference?Posted on 15 February 2016 - 11:28 AM
Theres actually a pretty big difference in the immediate change. On a normal office mouse you usually can't change the DPI, and the mouse is not really built for anything but its basic computer needs.
If you switch to a gaming mouse however (I recommend Deathadder or the Steelseries Rival, I use the Rival but I have had both), considering that the mouse is you buy is egronomic(built for comfort), you'll find a change in your movements.
The mouse I suggested are very good for jitter clicking (the deathadder is better for it imo), and I would recommend you purchase on if needed.
Just look up youtube videos on showcases for these types of mice

I use a zowie fk1. I found a large difference since getting my bew mouse it improved my normal cps by 1.5 and im learning to jitter it in combo. The side buttons help and larger mouses are much more comfortable and make you play better. Also if its of any use the fk is a little cheaper than the deathadder and rivalLast edited on 15 February 2016 - 02:56 PM by Jahmyr

I'm buying a deathadder very soon, been trying to see if the Naga was better but I can manage using the hotkeys on my laptop.Posted on 15 February 2016 - 05:07 PM
Hi Bain_,I personally don't think that gaming mice are necessary for playing minecraft. You can do well with any sort of mouse.
However, if you do get a gaming mouse I recommend:
the Razer Deathadder
It's nice because:
•It's easy to click with
•There are limited side buttons, few and convenient
•It's very stable and sturdy
•It will last a while
I hope that helped you with all your problems.

I just got a gaming mouse the other day. I like it better than the default mouse I had and it kind of helps me play a bit better. If you have the extra money and play enough, I don't see a problem with getting one.Last edited on 15 February 2016 - 05:33 PM by Juker

I just upgraded from a Logitech m950t to a Logitech G602, I recommend going to a shop and just seeing what mouse fits best in your hand how many hot keys you think you'll need to use.Last edited on 15 February 2016 - 07:10 PM by Just_Peter

For the US guys:
Tesco is basically the same as Walmart the only difference is that they don't actually sell guns at Tesco's…
On-topic, I would recommend buying a gaming mouse, if you have the money and play enough minecraft (1+ hours per day, minimum.)
I switched from a $10 mouse to the Razer Deathadder, and I've got to say the 2 things that I most like are comfort and click feel. My $10 mouse was quite hard to click on and very small, it didn't suit my hand.
Although they're good, gaming mice are not essential for minecraft, so buy it if you have the money.

I have a 80$ mouse which I got for 40$.Its better than my old mice, although quite heavy. It can jitter click, and if you master the buttons it can be good for rodding. I still cant rod, so…
Its called a Logitech g602
Im personally a fan of cordless mice, as I have a very odd way of holding the mouse.

11 CPS isn't impressive lol
It doesn't even look ergonomic.
