Asian Server on Badlion?
Right now, there are servers on Badlion around the world for people living in different areas to play on with good ping. However, one of the only remaining areas in the world where players still get horrible ping is Asia. There aren't many popular Asian servers in Minecraft so it kinda sucks for people living in Asia as they will never be able to experience Minecraft PvP like how many others do. Badlion is probably the best PvP/UHC server out there and I thought it would not hurt to create an Asian server as there are many Minecraft players living in Asia that would probably wish to experience good ping just like I do (More people might buy ranks too :D). The server could be hosted in places like Tokyo/Singapore as those are places that people around Asia could all get good ping on. Thanks for everyone's time and I hope that Badlion would consider this idea. :)

Unfortunately, Asian servers will not be added until there is a large enough player base. If or when this will happen is uncertain.

The reality is we don't have new realms being added because of latency issues as well. Australia already is a handful to deal with and we actually have a lot of people playing there.

We don't want to add a new realm just for it to get hit offline.

There is a possibility of a Singapore server at the end of 2016 as OVH will be opening a datacenter there. No promises of anything before then though.

There is a possibility at the end of 2016 according to gberry

Well if that happens it probably would be heaven for me as I live in Singapore. And it would probably be my first time experiencing good ping.

Right now this is the current ping that I get with good internet connection on my side:
NA East: 300-400
NA West: 200-300
Europe: 400-500
Australia: 400-500

Playing on NA servers is still not too horrible for me, but taking the time difference into account, I'm usually only able to play EU and AU games. Many of my friends that are living in Asia too also face the same problem. It saddens me to see that without good ping, Asian players will never be able to be really good at Minecraft PvP unless they are extremely skilled as they will always have a disadvantage. I really hope Badlion can make this difference for us.

By the way, if it is not too much trouble, could you kindly send the link of the thread which had that post by MasterGBerry. Thanks :)

Hosting in tokyo is not a good idea since it's in the far east. Better to host it somewhere centrally so that all asians can get decent ping to badlion. The playerbase in asia currently isn't too big so it's best to attract as many asian players as possible which is possible by hosting in a central location.

Add a Badlion Location in XXXXXXXX

The three Badlion locations we currently have are located in Europe (Norther France), North America (A bit north of NYC and west of Montreal), and Australia (Sydney). These server locations are based on strategic values including but not limited to:

- Cost
- DDoS Protection
- Where our clients are located
- Network Quality

We cannot just pick any server location and add new servers there. We are always looking for ways to expand our network. Even with our small Austrlia servers, we did not add this location until we saw via our Donations that there was enough of a prescience in the region. We are not going to add any locations if we know that they won't sustain themselves. Anything new we add is an extra cost to the network.

This being said, the first location we would look into adding if we ever did add one would be located on the west coast of America. We have no estimation for when this might happen, as at the moment the costs are too high or the DDoS protection is not sufficient.

If anyone has said anything, you still don't know the facts behind where the server should be, if indeed there is to be one in said area. Locked.
