Culturally and religiously I'm a Jew, and probably will be for the rest of my life. The argue for/against God is basically "Why isn't he here now" or "why would he let insert thing here happen if he was real," and there's no way to prove or disprove any of these. If any new information comes available and it's authentic, I'd be willing to switch fully to one side or the other. IMO it's alright if you disagree or agree with whether God exists, but if your preexisting views cloud your judgement after new evidence comes to light, it's just plain ignorance

As an atheist I'll add to this. Religion is a belief. My view of a person doesn't change based on their religion at all. The only reason most people's religion is is because of their parents. I would become any other religion in a heartbeat if there is any evidence. I'm an atheist who is an atheist because I see no evidence, and I respect and understand other religions imply because their is no evidence to contradict them.
tl;dr
When there is 0 evidence present, you can speculate whatever you want
