Did spleef cause lag aswell? Also just had a quick thought that arrows shot and falling when the match ends could still maybe destroy snow? Unsure if this will effect anything if you changed the way it logs or resets.

Well, I am west coast and luckily it doesn't happen has much on West Coast. Maybe it is because only 150 players play at a time.

Yeah this is a crazy theory we had, but it wasn't causing anything near the problems that BuildUHC was.

one way to help with the lag and the chunk updates is to remove the spleef maps. its not ranked or unranked and the only way you can get to the arena is to duel someone. if you dont want to take it out ik there are some maps that are too big, making them smaller would solve some of the problem. another thing would be to switch to 500 player servers. it would reduce the amount of players on each server do down (reducing lag) and it would also mean less build/spleef matches played to reduce the chunk updates which reduces lag.

At this point the major lag spikes are solved.

That was the point in this thread to explain that the problem is fixed.
