Very general assumption, but let's assume you're right. That's a difference of 0.1 seconds of delay, which is honestly not a whole lot different
I've played with both and honestly there's a huge difference between 200ms and 300ms.
Once you cross 100ms, even 30-40ms plus/minus makes a difference.

Nah the tokyo host doesn't give good ping to west-asian players. It should be located in a central location in Asia.

Tokyo is like super bad for hosting its not gonna fill not even a 100 player
Best is in singapore because even players in the middle east can get below 140 ping

You could say the same about AU but it had enough to be viable. @MasterGberry can you give us the facts pls

AU had about 4-5x the donations before we turned on an AU server compared to what Asia currently has.Posted on 22 February 2016 - 12:38 PM

Well that's because of two reasons IMO:
1) Asians get worse ping than AU players. AU players get around 200ms which is playable. Most asians get 300ms which is unplayable.
2) Because of all PvP servers giving bad ping to Asians, there are no Asian Youtubers doing competitive pvp and hence many Asians don't even know about badlion, especially the Asians who aren't good enough at english to understand the videos made by Americans/Europeans. Even the ones that do understand English but aren't netizens have a completely different sense of humour, culture etc. and hence they don't enjoy the existing minecraft content on youtube. They never really discover that minecraft is beyond just SMPs.

There are actually many Asian players, it's just that they either don't play on Badlion often as they get horrible ping there. Take a look at Kohi Asia, there is always a good amount of players on. Maybe a trial server in Asia would be a good idea.Posted on 01 March 2016 - 12:40 PM

You just explained that many players don't even know about Badlion, that means small player-base, that means not worth hosting a server in Asia ?? Correct me if I comprehended it wrongly.
