Maps (rant)
k so this is just a thread talking about how awful the maps are for this season. I'm fine with the build maps but it's just some of the non build maps are just awful. For example the map with flowers and a bee on it. This map is used for archer, which has enderpearls. I know when this map was made they didn't know archer was going to have enderpearls, but once they realised they should've changed it, because there are so many people that just camp on it and it's really annoying. This map also has water in it, making it bad for any form of melee pvp, so really I'm not sure why it's a map for diamond, gapple, sg etc….. Another map which is bad is the map which has coloured wool all over the floor. Like what is this good for except for dropping frames. Same goes for the square map with snow, clay and leaves all over the floor. There are a lot more maps that I dislike but I can't come to think of them right now (apart from skywars maps).

Skywars maps- ok so who thought it would be a good idea to have a map with a huge pyramid and a staircase up to it. This literally promotes camping and it's ridiculous. And then there is the mushroom map which is just way too small and one double hit can knock you off, which is ridiculous.

Most maps are an improvement from last season, and the only ones I have a problem with are the flower map, the snow map with the bridge, and the really small skywars map.

Season 12 is drawing near. I expect more maps to be released so you should expect a bit more variety ;)

i swear the mods were highly intoxicated when they made the maps for this season :/

Lmao I get 100 frames average in build maps and literally 20-30 on sg/diamond etc maps. It's so stupid as the only thing I can get good at is build lol

We've had a huge increase in new builders ever since the start of S11, so I can assure you that there's going to be some kind of uniqueness and variety next season due to the fact that every build team member contributing has a unique building style. We're all open ears for what kind of maps you prefer, which is why we have a map feedback system implemented in-game for your convenience.

which is not very based on extracting actual feedback on maps

Like I said, we have a map feedback system which indicates what kind of maps you prefer, not how to improve them. It's nowhere near an in-depth, detailed feedback system - just a numbered voting system. Post on the forums if you want to add further feedback and improvements if voting isn't enough for you.

I made a very detailed thread on comparing FPS on different maps and it got completely rejected.
