So as you all know, 1.9 is coming on the 29th. I think it's gonna be awesome, but there are 2 things that NEED to be added in a lot of the ladders.1. Axes. Axes add a lot of strategy to 1.9 pvp, not only do they do extra damage, (Sharp 3 axe crits ftw) but they also can disable someone's shield, making 'quick shielding' a thing. So you want to shield your opponents hits, but you don't want to leave your shield open for someone to disable it, then they get a bunch of free hits.
2. Fishing rods. You know how people can run away for 36 decades to prolong their inevitable death? Well now that fishing rods can pull back players, you'll never have to wait 30min per 2 elo!

The 1.9 is awful. Here are my top 5 reasons:5. You can't jitter click anymore
4. swords, gapples, and armor have been nerfed (fixed)
3. It's every mineplexer's dream
2. Though this was supposed to be added previously, you can now push people off large heights (you now bump into players)
1. Potion dipped arrows = Pot pvp ruined
So much for the combat update

5. How is this bad? I agree that the new combat is too slow, but 7-8cps should be about the max that could theoretically give you an advantage in a game.
4. They rebalanced gear, they're trying to make ends game enchants less ridiculous. Makes sense, especially with how much easier level 30 enchants are now.
3. You're a moron.
2. Collision boxes are cool. You have to be slightly more aware of your surroundings now, it's slightly more realistic.
1. Badlion ladders won't give you potion arrows for the most part.

5. I can see where you're coming from, considering that potpvp depends on jitter clicking, but I think in the end potpvp will just get more unique and cool, because you can turn off the recharge for specific weapons. I can imagine badlion's 1.9 server having a 'jitter' ladder.
4. No they haven't xD That got taken out nerd. Do your research.
3. This isn't even a reason.
2. I'm actually not a big fan of that addition, but it does add to the realism.
1. Why would potpvp kits give you tipped arrows? Also, you need to kill the ender dragon to make them.

Ugh, what are you on about? 1.9 will destroy pvp, do you really think badlion would go to 1.9 only…? And don't complain about people running, because thats part of the game…

1. Badlion's gonna have a separate 1.9 server nerd.
2. I'm not taking about falling back and eating a gapple, I'm talking about running for the entire game refusing to fight, like people always just run away from bluedeww.

Yeah, I'm staying on 1.8-1.7 in protest until they create a new 1.9 from scratch.Posted on 27 February 2016 - 03:48 AM
Actually they have been fixed. Now the more damage your armor takes then the more damage you take and gapples are less useful as the regen less heartsPosted on 27 February 2016 - 06:21 AM
There will be 2 servers a 1.8/1.7 server and a 1.9 badlion server.Last edited on 27 February 2016 - 10:58 AM by AbsolutelyAlpha

Golden Apples do not regen less health actually (Notch apples do though: Abs 4, Regen 2 for 20 seconds: only regens 8 hearts). Both swords and armor are nerfed. Sharp 1 only adds +1 attack dmg, and every sharp level after that adds +0.5 dmg. Armor enchants are nerfed (idk how much). Lastly, natural regeneration is extremely different. The higher your saturation, the faster that you regen. (for example: You can regen up to 1 heart per second. With a golden pple, you regen 1 heart in 2.5 seconds. This will completely change ladders like SG, Iron, etc. Something that I forgot to mention is that if you give a player haste 10, then there is no recharge time. (You could probably alao do this with NBT Data tags, but idk b/c I suck).
Hope that this helped!!

Nope, that got taken out… I think prot and sharp are still nerfed though, but they put gapples back. Do your research nerd.

I have played 1.9 pvp and it's fine….except it takes all of the intenseness out of the game. Everything is way too slow for my liking.

For the moment, yeah. But once people start learning how to 'quick shield' and get good with switching to an axe, I think it'll get much faster paced.
