IDEA #1- ELYTRA RACES AND ATTACKSRaces - Everyone spawns on their independant block. In front of them are various obstacles (pillars or very tall trees of course) and the first one to navigate wins. This is more of a minigame than PvP.
Attacks- 2-4 teams of 5 ish. 2-3 of those 5 people spawn in the air with the wings, and they also have bows. Various platforms for them to land. The 3 on the ground have swords / rods.
This makes it very tactical, you need good aim, and the bow players would do a large amount of damage.
Of course, these aerial players would have like no armor and a power 3 or something, while the ground players have full enchanted iron, but the bow should easily do like 4 hearts. Tremendous help to the ground players.
More balancing to come to this if it's considered.

I like SOME features of 1.9, not all of them though.Like, the wings are cool and the boats, don't really like the PvP stuff, but i haven't really played it much. Can't do a full opinion yet because i haven't FULLY tried 1.9 to it's entirety.
