Hey, yesterday my pc fucking broke and my uncle gave me his laptop for the time so it's a windows 8, 64-bit, 8GB (RAM), i really don't know the video card of it, so i tried to play minecraft and let's say it was just fine i ran 50fps (with some lag spikes) with mid-high settings, but i wonder if i can get the most of it adding more ram? I really don't know how to add it, because i tried changing the jvm argument to -xmx4G and actually nothing happened same with 6 and 8 can you please help me I'm lost and I've watched a lot of videos/threads and none of them have solved my issue o.OTyty

8 GB of RAM is sufficient for most people playing the best of games. The CPU is far more important when it comes to performance in minecraft. Adding more RAM won't really do anything for you at all unless you decide to start doing some crazy video editing while playing titanfall at the same time, and watching 15 youtube videos.Posted on 14 July 2014 - 04:07 PM
