I'm muted, and while I completely deserve it, I still deserve to be able to have clean fights. My reports don't always fit into one of the report options, so sometimes I have to click other. Maybe someone is running off debuffs, or they're autoclicking/triggerbotting. Maybe they have a KB mod. If I click on "other", and the staff asks me what the report was for, when he or she realizes that I'm muted, they often dismiss my report without even looking into it. Muted players should have a command similar to /r that responds to the last staff member that messaged them in these occasions.thxm8 hev nis 1

+1, but since when have mods messaged you about reports?Posted on 13 March 2016 - 04:53 PM
And what if someone got muted for spamming staff?Posted on 13 March 2016 - 05:24 PM

that could be a flaw but players will most likely get muted for something else

a) you ban them
b) you make it so that staff has a /muteall or something which cuts off all sorts of communication between the muted player and everyone else, including staff

-1How about you don't get muted?
Besides, if someone is using some fancy hack, just report them for the reason closest to it or record it yourself.

I'm not. Is that supposed to just automatically dismiss the idea of ANY muted person from being able to have a chance to be saved from a rule breaker? You could always punish them for spamming staff, or add the addition of revoking the permission to the command for spamming staff.

Take a look at 99% of players EVER. Minecraft is a toxic community. Almost EVERYONE has been muted, and quite a bit. It's too bad you're too goody to take other's perspectives into consideration, no offense.

If a staff actually decides to something about my report, then they have no idea what I'm reporting if I use the "other" option. It's quite common.

You realize it's incredibly difficult to spot these things unless you're actually fighting the player?
Also, not everyone has good enough equipment to record.

Only thing that worries me is what if someone spams me and I mute them but since im staff I can't do anything about it
That's why I suggested a way to revoke the permission to the command that allows you to contact staff, in case anyone is abusing the privilege.

It's not a bad idea, but we'd have to make abusing this banable, which is iffy imo.+.5? idk

I don't know, I think all the preset report options are sufficient.
