Well to start off, I Understand people get muted because they do stupid things like I did. But I feel like the muted players should STILL be aloud to type in TeamChat/PartyChat. For example, whenever I am in a UHC team game because none of my friends are online or it's a great gamemode, I CAN'T GET A TEAMATE! Even if I invite them to my team and they accept, I can't talk in team chat to let them know what ts or skype. It's not only to get a teamate, what if i mute my mic and there is something I need to tell them but I can't unmute since i'm talking to a sibling or someone. Same thing for party chats, usually were in parties with friends, why would we say mean things to each other to be honest? We used to be able to talk in these chats. I don't know if there were conflicts about this, but I would really like this opportunity back, it would make life a lot easier.Chug <3

To be honest, I think all of this is bullshit. Yeah, I used to be really toxic, but I got perm muted before I was unable to talk in team chat/party chat, ./helpop, and ./sendcoords… I think that you should be able to do all of those things as a muted player just abusing the system for any of these things should result in a ban.Posted on 14 March 2016 - 04:56 PM

It's not that hard to avoid getting long mutes. You surrender certain privileges when you break the rules. Either deal with it or don't break the rules.

I understand that I've gotten mutes. But, that's in the past. I've been muted for like 4 months and im getting unmuted in may, I've changed and I wont be getting mutes anymore, the last time I did somethig bad was like in september, it's just for other peeople, not just me.Posted on 15 March 2016 - 11:01 PM

The most you can get muted for any single chat offense is one week, and it takes a fair amount of mutes to get muted even for a month. If you've broken chat rules consistently enough and ignored enough warnings that you're permanently muted (or muted for a long time) I don't really feel we have any obligation to increase what you're able to do.

but ./report works, and maybe people shouldn't be so fucking toxic and then they can have chat privileges. I used to think that it was annoying when they said "don't get muted", but it's TRUE. Don't be a toxic fuck and you can type in chat LOL
