Hey guys, my names Xuesiara. I've played BuildUHC on and off for quite a long time, and currently this season my record is 331-32 with an ELO of 2122. I'm here to give you guys a bit of an in-depth view to how many people play in the BuildUHC gamemode. Here we go.NOTE: This is strictly theory, although it may help you out. I believe that BuildUHC is all about figuring out what type of playstyle you're up against, and then countering it.
The Aggressor - A player that may consume a Golden Head or a Golden Apple just before melee engagement. They will usually ignore your placed lava and water and may not initially try to block it up, and they may use their bow very often.
ELO Potential: 1200-2000
Efficient Kings - Players that like to engage in bow combat before a melee engagement. Whilst in ranged combat, they will be efficient and only eat Golden Apples when they can get its full potential. This type of player will usually try to block up your placed water and lava to try and drain you out. They will commonly back out if at low HP, and games with this type of player can go down to the final apple.
ELO Potential: 1400-2000+
Creative - Players that will commonly build something to cover themselves at the start of a game. They consume a Golden Apple in advance, and await their prey.
ELO Potential: 1200-1700
Fishers - Players that will always use the rod to their advantage. Not only does this enable them to get combos on you, but they also stand a good chance of making you slightly angry, giving them an advantage. They generally like to use their Lava, and will be semi-efficient with their healing.
ELO Potential: 1400-2000+
Tactician - Players that will use their lava, blocks and rods to the fullest of potential. They may consume Golden Apples in advance, and are generally quite aggressive once they engage.
ELO Potential: 1400-2000+
Personally, I would consider myself a Tactician with a twist. I like to plant my lava about 4 blocks either left or right of my opponent, and try and manipulate my hits to make them fall into that lava, rather than an initial burn. It's a great tactic as when the lava expands, it can prove troublesome for people to escape.

you forgot oneHackusators - fresh off the mineplex network and ready to call you out for hax wen u get 2+ hits on them in a row. will use lava once they figure out how to open their inventory and put it in their hot bar (very advanced technique for them). they also wont forget to exclaim how much better their favourite youtuber is than you.

You forgot….the ghost clienter - usually are around 12 years old and come from kohi or mcsg. They don't know how to hide hacks very well and have convinced themselves that they're good at the game. They play around 500 matches before they're banned (bc gberry's gc checks are slow af) and then admit to "autoclicker" or "butterfly clicking" in their appeal while in reality they had their reach on 5-6 blocks.

I looked at this for a while and can't see one that accurately describes how I play… maybe Creative? I'm stuck at ~1675 elo (I'm bad at this game) and tend to play like this:Run to the middle of the map and block up, making myself a little wall. I then wait for the opponent to get close, eat a ghead, then charge at them ignoring bow shots. If the player is being defensive I'll try to shoot them a few times and make walls as I get closer to them to prehead and fight. If they decide to run I'll usually pregap and chase them down.
I think I'd be a lot better if I learned how to aim while jitter clicking and if I knew how to use the rod more…
