Mutes should be longer for people that have been punished via forum posts.

Why do you think that, you say?

1. It takes a bit longer and you have to go out of your way to report someone for pm'ing you inappropriate messages, rather than just a /mute in chat.

2. The mute length is only 15 minutes long! Depending on if they are online or not they probably didn't even know they were muted.

My suggestion is that you make mute lengths 24 - 48 hours, depending on the severity of the offense.

Just an Idea.

There are no mutes that are 15 mins on duration since the offenses they punish are too minor for forum reports. However, I agree, since if a mute is several hours long, the muted player might not even get on in time to experience the mute, you could say.

No. Same offense, same mute. You shouldn't be reporting for any mute that's less than an hour, anyway.

And they still experience negative consequences. Mods take past punishments into account when considering 1 month and permanent mutes.
