Getting ignored by staff
In this thread I have no intention of insulting/offending anyone! My deepest apologies if you happen to be offended. I am just speaking my mind here.

Ok so I have a friend who got banned (I won't tell the name), and he made an appeal.
Now I know that staff are busy and take a few days to reply. So eventually a staff member replied with a question.
With that being said, the appeal probably went to answered section (I don't really know how the forums work yet).
I and some other friends were able to play on the server. He really liked the server and he really felt bad for the actions he did. He also had a lot of patience and he is still waiting for full response.
He is waiting for a week now. I am also waiting for the response, because I liked to play the server with him.
But when I went to appeals and checked the other appeals they got the full response in 8 minutes or sooner, which really tore our patience apart.
I also went in-game and then I asked a mod there, if he would know how long does it usually take to answer appeals in forums. I asked him, if I could ask him a question, after he just replied with "yes?" and then when I asked the question I just got ignored. I asked again and I still didn't get an answer.
I don't really know if the staff in-game has any idea of what is happening on the forums and I understand if the staff is busy, but I have been waiting for a long time without a reply.

I am not calling out anyone and I don't mean to be offensive (as I said in the start), but this just got really frustrating.

I agree, a lot of staff members on badlion are actually not that good.
For example, I asked a mod a question. And he/she replied in a really mean way, which I really don't know why.
It bothers me a lot that the staff sometimes will be really mean for no reason.

First things first, if you want to report a staff member feel free to do so.

Second thing, if the appeal gets tagged to a certain staff member then it gets answered relatively quick. I got tagged on an appeal and answered within the day. Some staff have more important things to do which delays them from answering appeals. Take the admins and owners for example. They do the server work and keep it fresh, they also keep an eye on the staff and have to answer questions and whatnot. Bumping your appeal up is bad as it shows you have no patience at all. Also if you search the group or staff member in which the appeals can be tagged to such as "Senior Mods" or "Administrators". There is more likely more than one appeal that needs answering. Some have been waiting longer, some not. Be patient and it will be sorted.

If your friend was banned for anything that involved cheating the absolute minimum of being unbanned is 1 month, and that's a slim chance. With the new system, he'll get his reply.

Examples? I know a lot of the time staff will be extremely straightforward, which some interpret as rude.
Any constructive criticism will of course be noted.

I hate it when people make threads formally like this one and then staff go out of their way to criticize everything they say. Maybe take it as constructive criticism to make the staff team better. There's staff members that are down there, I'm sure everyone knows.

2 things that need to be said here and you need to understand:

1. Your friend's ban appeal is equally as important as any one else's appeal
2. We love constructive criticism. It makes us better. However you aren't really criticizing anybody here, but rather stating your issue.
Like Loquince said, most of the time we aren't being rude, we're being straightforward. There are too many people on to sugar coat everything we say.

We as staff comment on these threads because sometimes players are unsure of how our staff team actually works, as I can tell in this post.
