Commonly ignored rules
Hello Badlion Players, I've been noticing that a few rules have been going quite unnoticed. I'm not blaming certain people who do break these rules, but, if you are one of those people, I hope you take your time to read this thread and see if you've been breaking these rules at all lately. ALSO, remember, this IS technically my opinion, so pls no hate. Here they are:

Rule #8: "Do not spam chat with nonsense. This includes spamming known/famous player names with no content or purpose."
Rule number 8 is easily one of the most commonly broken rules I see everyday. As the rule states, "…spamming known/famous player names with no content or purpose." I literally do not go a day on Badlion without seeing someone type Huahwi's name in the chat, and the best part is, 90% of the time it's either not Huahwi or he isn't on. And, not to mention, 90% of the time the famous player puts their global chat off. Usually, if the chat goes out of hand with a famous players' name, that name may become auto-mute. So remember, even tho it may seem normal to do this, it is unnecessary and you should try and not to, because it can encourage unnecessary spam.

Rules #13: "Do not lie or falsify evidence in ban/staff reports or ban appeals. You will be banned or will stay banned. DO NOT lie to us."
Rule number 13 is quite frequent in MY opinion. Sometimes I like to read appeals leisurely because some of them can be quite interesting. But if I had to tell you that in the appeals I do read have a player who is quite blatantly not telling the truth, it will only affect your un-ban even worse. I understand that appeals do not apply to all players, but to those who it may apply to, just come clean, the team will MORE than likely give you an un-ban. It may not be a timely one, but at least it isn't a denied appeal. This rule isn't too serious because, well, we are all humans and sometimes we all aren't right or true, and also because not everyone that writes an appeal lies. So yea, if you are going to be making an appeal anytime soon, please just don't lie and make it harder on the staff, and also you might want to put effort into it too!

Rule #16: "Keep hackusations to the ban report forum or by typing /report."
This one is a pretty minor one and not too serious either. But I'm putting it here because mostly it's newer players that fall victim to this. There is no reason to really hackusate in chat, because it either does nothing or worsens the situation. Hackusating can get the person who is potentially hacking to realize someone's caught on to them and that they should turn their disallowed client off. And, even though doing /report may not be helpful, it's still better than letting the accused hacker know he/she is being caught on to. The accused person will most likely be banned eventually in the long-run, unless they weren't hacking

Rule #22: "You are not allowed to exchange virtual items or services for real life money or other items not on the Network. Examples: Selling clans/accounts for money, exchanging minecraft accounts for items from another game/server, such as CS:GO, etc."
This rule can also be called "solicitation." If you want more information regarding this rule, a moderator recently made a thread on it, check it out here: https://www.badlion.net/forum/thread/106796/post/572234#572234. To summarize what the moderator tried to say, he is saying that this is actualyl ILLEGAL IRL, and that it is a rule that is disregarded and ignored very often.

Rule #23:" Death threats or Suicide Encouragement such as "go kill yourself" or "drink bleach" will result in a mute of at least a week and up to a month depending on the severity."
Sadly, this rule never seems to mend. To my fortune, I haven't really been told to go end myself that often on badlion, but what people don't really understand is that you can get BANNED for it too. There isn't really much else I can say about this, but if you want more clarity on this rule, an admin made a thread talking about this too. Check it out here: https://www.badlion.net/forum/thread/97032 (<– I actually learned a bit from it too.)

So yeah, that's pretty much all I really have to say. Yes, you could say that it is very similar to freekkiller's thread on it too, (https://www.badlion.net/forum/thread/97032) but what he's trying to explain is literally the title of his thread, and my thread is just "commonly ignored rules." The reason I made this thread is because I just want to try to prevent punishments and make the jobs of staff like .1% percent easier (because this thread will not be read by many players.) If you have any questions, I will try my best to answer them, and if you feel like I'm missing something, you can reply and dsuggest me it and I might add it in here. To staff, do whatever you wish with this thread is you so choose.

If you want to read EVERY rule, you may do so here: https://www.badlion.net/wiki/rules

no hate pls

I do agree that a lot of these rules are overlooked and broken regularly. I like the way this thread is put together and the time you've taken on it :p Very good job <3

Rule #8: "Do not spam chat with nonsense. This includes spamming known/famous player names with no content or purpose." - This is enforced

Rules #13: "Do not lie or falsify evidence in ban/staff reports or ban appeals. You will be banned or will stay banned. DO NOT lie to us." - More of a senior thing to deal with - still enforced

Rule #16: "Keep hackusations to the ban report forum or by typing /report." - Enforced

Rule #22: "You are not allowed to exchange virtual items or services for real life money or other items not on the Network. Examples: Selling clans/accounts for money, exchanging minecraft accounts for items from another game/server, such as CS:GO, etc." - Enforced, banned someone yesterday for it..

Rule #23:" Death threats or Suicide Encouragement such as "go kill yourself" or "drink bleach" will result in a mute of at least a week and up to a month depending on the severity." - Enforced

Great post but sadly, 99% of the rule breakers will not read it.

To be honest these rules will still always get overlooked and sadly there's nothing we can really do about it.

Won't really fix much, people will just evade it like they do to "ez", "rekt" or "hacker".

Badlion should have a thing where when you join the server for the first time it gives you a link to the rules page. Might stop some people from breaking these.

Maybe in the main lobby. Joining arena and seeing that giant rules link might make the player not want to play on the server. If they're new and they're logging in for the first time, then maybe there should be something that pops up in their chat in the hub that sends them to the rules page. Or maybe they could log into arena and they could do a tutorial for maybe another 10 ranked matches.
