Thread TitleI know it's all up to personal preference and these two types of PvP are hardly comparable but I just don't understand why people enjoy UHC PvP so much more than HCF.
In my opinion the fights are bigger, take a lot more skill as communicating with 10+ people is much harder than communicating with a couple, are much more enjoyable in general, and the grinding is actually worthwhile since the gear you grind lasts 3-4 weeks instead of an hour or two.
Before you take my opinion seriously just remember that I'm extremely biased towards HCF and I've never even played an actual UHC. (I've always wanted to but I've never had the time and my PC's currently broken.)

UHC is more intense because you only have one life. There are so many things you can do in it and the mining luck can make it fun. Plus, it's super popular so it makes people want to win for the statsLast edited on 10 May 2016 - 08:56 PM by Igneoh

This is a really poor argument since as soon as you can die you can start over from scratch and try again in a UHC
In HCF you can spend literally dozens of hours on a base and then have it all go to fucking nothing because your faction members decide to do something really stupid or the leader makes a really poor choice in combat.
Or the most common one.

I know this applies to a shit ton of people, UHC/ArenaPVP (may as well combine them) take significantly less time to "do stuff" then HCF.Posted on 11 May 2016 - 07:53 AM
i like hcf moee but uhc is fun tooI guess i like fair fights and chasing and running and stuff

No it's not hard at all, it's quite easy.
@op
UHC is way harder/intense than factions. On factions, you decide when you fight(koths and shit) (Getting jumped and stuff is def a possibility but you can take precautions/You always have your base;spawn to run to). In uhcs you can get jumped anytime and you do not have a safe zone to run to. They are very different and I do prefer factions but I consider UHC way harder/ requires more skill to do well in.

I prefer UHC because I came here from Mcsg which is rod/non speed and I've stuck to it. Then again I've never played HCF so my opinion is as biased as it gets but here it goes.-I don't have ts or Skype so it's literally impossible for me to play HCF on a good team (as they all probably require to or Skype.) I can play as much arena and uhc as I want without ts and Skype.
-Fights are quick and a little more intense. Sure in pot you have to constantly turn around and pot while tracking your opponent's hp. But in UHC the rod and blocks/buckets make things way more intense. When your opponent gets you on fire you have to water without getting critted out, if your rod timing is slightly off you will get combo'd, and there's no time to change your mouse grip or anything, once you leave sword range the bow becomes a factor.
-I'm better at UHC related pvp than Pot, that makes it so much more fun.
-Pot is fun though
I'm not saying UHC is better this is just my opinion.

I thought HCFs had some sort of limit on how many ores spawn or something, making it more time consuming?
(idk anything about factions and never really got into it)

Hcf fights have become boring, ppl just wait forever to fight and it's not as much fun as it used to be. Everybody refuses to play aggressive because it's so easy to punish it so fights are few and far between.
