wait u srsly get 100 ping? what server is that pm me the ip so I can ping it myself
I used to get 30-40 ping on hk servers and my japanese friends used to get around that as well
also, 1-50 ping is 100% same no difference at all because minecraft is based on ticks
I got 97 ms using Speedtest.net. https://gyazo.com/7c78e96fa7edff59294da83d2b7ca0a9
My friends get around the same to connect to Hong Kong servers.

Honestly, I think we need to think about how to benefit Japan, South Korea and Singapore players. (I'm from Taiwan, which is literally in between) If they host in Japan, Singapore players probably get the same ping to Japan as in the US, considering that the distance between the 2 countries are like 5,241 km apart, and vice versa. I would say that Japan definitely has its strengths fir hosting a server, but Badlion needs to think about what is the best for all players, and not just benefit those in Japan and South Korea. This way, they can expand their community and create more purchases from they Asian countries. I would say host they server somewhere in between, although Kohi has already hosted there server in Japan before. I think that it can benefit all in the servers were hosted somewhere in between Japan and Singapore. (And because I'm form Taiwan, it literally makes no difference if they hosted in Japan, Singapore or somewhere in between)
There are more Japanese and Korean players that play Badlion and Minecraft in general when compared to the rest of Asia. So, to expand an Asian community, it is better to target East Asia rather than other Asian/Middle eastern countries.
Also, Singapore players get around 60ms to Tokyo, and we get around 80-100. (Probably because we have better internet) Therfore, it will benefit way more people if the server was hosted in Tokyo or even Seoul, for that matter.

lets just hope that badlion will find a good host in HK
And for those east asians, 0-50 ping is 100% same in minecraft so if you get 40 ping and I get 20, I still have 50ms delay(and u too) because minecraft is based on ticks and 1 tick is 50 ms
First of all, JP and KR players combined will probably outweigh SEA and Indian players easily. JP and KR people are able to afford ranks more, since the average income is high, and life is generally more stable. Also, for me, a Japanese player, it takes around 100ms to connect to a Hong Kong server, so I would say that a Hong Kong server will benefit a small number of players while making everything unfair for everyone else (east asians).

it benefits more countries, your probably biased since your from japan, you think everything is gonna be hosted in your country because its rich? sometimes. Not always, i am in between japan and HK and hk will benefit china, india and all the other sea countries while still benefiting JP and kr, theres about 2.5b (including india, its closer to HK not JP and china.) versus a measly 150m (KR and JP) even though more japan players play minecraft, 2.5b vs 150-250m…… you'd think it'd outweigh JP and KR? even though its probably gonna be hosted in JP.
HK covers a wider area tbh and JP only covers JP and KR

jp would benefit the phillipines, taiwan, hk and jp,kr while hk can cover both east asia and southeast asia(jp players will get 35 ping dont worry, and sea players would get 30-60) and india as well

Not at all. HK will only benefit SEA and HK it self. I don't get 100ms to HK but I still get 90ms to HK Servers. It would be incredibly unfair if the bigger population gets the worst ping out of all of the other Asian countries. If you saw that Destruction guy's speedtest look at his upload speed! It's a really fast internet yet he gets 100ms. Which means there's a chance of other Japanese players getting even worse ping! HK will not benefit East Asia at all and as I said would be really unfair for the bigger population to get the worst ping.SG to HK 30ms | SG to JP 70ms
HK to HK 10ms | HK to JP 40ms
JP to HK 90ms | JP to JP 10ms

This isn't how ping works at all, wtf?Ping is based on how far away you are from the server host, and those speedtest tests are not reliable as they are not actually connected to the future Badlion server. So HK to JP and JP to HK would have the same amount of ping. I tried playing on JP servers from Hong Kong and I got around 90 ping. Internet upload and download speeds don't really matter when you have over 5mbps as well.

Ping isn't just based on how far away the place is from you. It is also based on the dedicated server quality. The better dedicated server the better ping you will get. The thing is Japan has the advantage of having better dedicated servers which are more stable and faster than Hong Kong. That is the reason why the ping will be different from JP to HK and HK to JP. Also if it was Japan, the ping you got to Kohi Asia will be the ping you will get to Badlion Asia. Even my friend from Malaysia with not the best internet got 75ms to Kohi Asia.
