No, this matter is not about the kb, lag, tps, kits, none of that shit. It's about the anticheat.I've been a Badlion player ever since season 9. GCheat has never disappointed me. Whenever a kid toggled on his fly hacks for a split second, they got removed from the network. Whenever a forcefielder started headsnapping around, GCheat banished him into the hinterlands. When I first joined, I pressed "Regen hacks" on Weepcraft and instantly got banned. But.. what happened? People are flying around unchallenged. People are spider climbing up arena walls. I can't even relate about how explicit killaura, aimbot, and forcefield users are getting away. Round after round, they get into queues and drain people with ease. If they can manage to escape GCheat, I would hate to imagine all the ghost clienters leading the top of all the boards.
My question is why GCheat has degraded so much. As I said, in the past, GCheat would never fail us. Now blatant hackers are evading the ban hammer. What went wrong?
IMO, the devs have to prioritize this issue over tps, lag, kb, etc. Who cares if you get knocked back by 0.5 blocks more than usual, if there are so many hackers you're afraid to join the queues?

Everyone has a problem with something, no matter what it is, it will always be like this.Chances are there's not even that many hackers youve been matched against, especially based off the number of clearly legitimate "hackers" we get in the ban reports section.
Your brain has began thinking "this guy is better than me, he MUST be hacking". Of course there will be a cheater here and there but I really think this isn't that large of a problem
EDIT: I'm not covering for gcheat nor am I ignoring that obviously cheats get more advanced and harder to detect, I'm just saying my view on it.

GCheat never got worse only hacked clients got better.Posted on 31 May 2016 - 03:22 PM

^ As GCheat aged, new hacks were developed which GCheat hadn't had new checks for. So you get a bunch of hackers with wizardhax clients and you think GCheat got worse, but it hasn't. It'll catch most old clients, the only problem is its out of date rn.
With the amount of development power we have right now with the addition of the kohi devs, I think this shouldn't be a problem for too much longer.
That said, I'm completely speculating. I'm not a dev.

I know right, it's such a bad excuse to tell somebody that "he's not actually hacking, he's just better than you" to cover for GCheat. Not this time. I can understand where this guy is coming from because literal blatant hackers with 8-10 block reach who use full kill aura do not get banned at all. Hell, did anyone see the guy who 17 potted stimpy by using blatant hacks? He's still not banned.

just cuz he's an arena mod doesn't mean he's more intelligent than someone lol. Also Unshift is right but oh well. I mean most of the time I die anymore is just cuz I have shit connection so whatever but I've been finding an increasing amount of blatant hackers that just do not get banned. I'm not trying to complain, this is just what I've seen lately.

Yeah but it doesn't change the fact that there have been an increasing amount of blatant hackers on the server.

It's important to note that this fallacy should not be used to dismiss the claims of experts, or scientific consensus. Appeals to authority are not valid arguments, but nor is it reasonable to disregard the claims of experts who have a demonstrated depth of knowledge unless one has a similar level of understanding and/or access to empirical evidence. However it is, entirely possible that the opinion of a person or institution of authority is wrong; therefore the authority that such a person or institution holds does not have any intrinsic bearing upon whether their claims are true or not.

Because he's a mod, he knows how hacks work and bans them as a job, therefore you must be wrong.
