I doubt I'm the only one that is pretty sick of the ridiculously strict mute protocol. Week long mutes being handed out like they're nothing, by mods who, quite frankly, don't know what they are fucking doing and have 0 common sense. What I'm asking is that mute system be more lenient, i.e. not getting a week long mute for saying "cock suckers". It's your server and you can place restrictions on the chat as you wish, but I don't think I'm the only one that sort of enjoys people getting angry, because it's kind of funny. What specifically I would ask for is:

Shorter mute times
Less reasons to be able to mute (get rid of muting for suicide encouragement, homophobic slurs etc.)
Encourage mods to warn before they mute.

The mods don't determine the mute times actually, the automated scaling mute system does, the only reason you have a week long mute on your hands now is because you have continued to be toxic despite 7 WARNINGS.

You really haven't done your research, have you? The mods don't determine how long your mute length is, your punishments page does. And also, the mods have gone through getting their application accepted (which is by no means easy I'll tell you that) and will have gone through the trial phase. Now by doing that, I'm not entirely sure that the mod would have 0 common sense or not know what they are doing. They are trained and I would appreciate it if you could respect that.

Yes, they do determine the mute time actually. Because they mute you for no reason in the first place which obviously means the next senseless mute will last longer.

Yeah, good point. I should respect the mods that do not give a fuck about the server, the only thing they care about is looking good or being popular, some of the mods on here are the reason this community is so shit.

Maybe because it's not morally right to Tell someone to kill themselves or hurl Discriminatory phrases/words about Gay people to players as common insults? You wouldn't go up to someone in the Street and tell them to kill themselves or shout a Homophobic slur to someone so it's not okay to do it in chat. It's possibly even worse in Chat as people can't tell how you meant for the comment to come across.

Or maybe you look at it from the reasonable stand point and say "Oh, someone called me a mean name ONLINE? I don't care, because that person is probably a 12 year old with ADHD" and go on with your day.

While I kind of agree with you that people should not actually kill themselves over some stupid shit like this, I can say from experience that listening to every other person you beat tell you to kys for no reason at all can put you in a shitty mood.

It's the golden rule, don't be an asshole and you won't feel the consequences
