Badlion Asia - The best host?

It's going to be in Japan 99% most likely. More players and donations from that location.Anything is better than 200+ ping lol

It would be good to consider the fact that there would be a fairer PVP experience if the server were to be hosted in Singapore, just because majority of users get similar ping on Singapore-hosted servers. If it were to be hosted in Japan, the ping difference between fellow players would become massive as compared to a Singapore-hosted server, hence a larger ping advantage for only Japanese players. I also do feel that, even if you hosted it in Singapore, Japan players would still get amazing ping. Asia is not like North America where the ping difference between players connecting from WEST to NAEAST servers, and from EAST TO NAEAST servers is that huge(just guessing). Hence, even if the server were to be hosted in Singapore, ideally the difference in the number of players would be rather negligible, compared to a Japan-hosted server. As you said anything is better than 200+ ping, but believe me, there's a huge difference between 100ms and 150-180ms, and 30ms. Yet again, just arguing for the best interests of the server,a Japan-hosted server although would bring in more donations, but Singapore would give a fairer PVP experience to all players.Regarding your point on "More players and donations from that location" - I disagree, because Japanese players get similar ping to Singapore and to Japan, therefore it wouldn't change the number of players and donations. Lastly, I know this is rather irrelevant - the votes on this thread show good support for a Singapore-hosted server. Its extremely hard for asia because asia is so much different than any other continent in the world. Because although singapore and countries in southeast asia(and korea too) dont donate much, its because of their parents really
My friends from japan have such kind parents compared to the ones in malaysia
I agree on starting an official vote(idk if south america needs one because they can just be hosted in colombia or somewhere) but it should be put ingame so that the japanese players that dont have a forum account can vote as well

@ImHqcked Just saying, the connection speeds in Indonesia aren't very good, and it isn't even in the top 10 unlike Japan or Singapore. So it isn't a very good idea, most players won't get good ping there. 100-150 ping is tolerable for pvp.
atleast japanese servers are stable (70-130 ping) unlike SG which is (50-200 ping)

+1SGSomething I would like to add since I am from India and I have met many Indian players across badlion, I get 50-70ms in Singapore and 130-160ms in Japan.

In the end of the day it's the donators that keep this network up and running. So they are going to get the "priority" in terms of locations/features etc.

I'd say Singapore is a better choice because west Australian players get good ping to Singapore servers, added to the fact that most Minecraft players from Asia come from Southeast Asia. Back when MCGamer had Asian servers hosted in Singapore most west Australians played on the Asian server anyways because they got good ping, so I don't see why not.On the other hand, most Asian parents (especially southeast Asian) are quite stingy with their money which results in the statistics of Japanese donating more. I personally think having a server hosted in Japan will benefit mostly Hong Kong and Japanese players whereas having a server in Singapore will benefit all of Asia with the compromise of slightly higher ping for Japanese players.
I'm a Singaporean myself and I can say with confirmation that my parents don't want me to spend money on games. I'm in support for the Singapore server simply because it'll benefit a larger percentage of Asia (+some part of Australia) than if it were to be hosted in Japan. I'm trying not to come off as biased so please don't think that I want the servers in Singapore because I'm Singaporean.

False…west coast players get around 90-120 ping to east coast and vice-versa. That's the reason why I never got the reason behind west coast servers being a priority back then.

While that is mostly true, you have to factor in the fact that Japanese don't get horrible ping to NA like the rest of Asia does. Japanese get an average of 150-180 ping to NA servers, while the rest of Asia get at least 250 ping. Of course with this they'll be more willing to donate to the servers.
