This. The % is way higher in Japan than all of south east asia combined at the moment.
Understood. Thanks still for replying the post, and most of all thanks for deciding to host a Badlion Asia server. Regardless of the location of the host, I'm certain there would be a considerable improvement for the overall PVP experience of us Asians. #HYPE

I am pretty sure West Australia players get better ping to Sydney more than Singapore in the first place. Where did you get that information that most Asian players are form South East Asia?! You are wrong most of the Asian population is from Japan, MasterGBerry himself has said Japan outweighs the amount of Singapore players. Japan will benefit much more players than in Singapore. Singapore will only benefit South East and Hong Kong where the community is much smaller than in Japan. When MCSG had Singapore servers 0 Japanese players played on it and the reason was because some Japanese players even got worse ping to Singapore than in NA West. So having the Asian server in Singapore will not boost up donations from Japan at all. While if the server is in Japan, all the players in Asia will have less than 100ms and the Japanese players donating much more than before to support the server. Badlion Asia will be hosted using AWS (same host as Kohi Asia), and Singapore players got 50~80ms to Kohi Asia. While Japanese players receive 130ms+ to Singapore servers resulting in Japanese players not playing in the Singapore server. That will make the Asia Pot PvP lose over 150 players. Losing Japanese players also means much less donations causing Badlion Asia to be shut down.
So if you want Badlion Asia to last long and have a stable server than Japan would be the best. Not just for players but for Badlion it self it would be the best option.
Japan = More Players, Better Dedicated Servers and MUCH MORE DONATIONS***.
End the war now and let MasterGberry and Badlion focus on creating Season 13 and the servers.
if its hosted in JP only the japanese people and the pacific sharks will get good ping LMAO
and chat will be so bad……
imagine japanese people swearing in there native language XD
anyways any host is good but
sg is better imo, better chat……
now someone has to code a japanese translator for minecraft! xD

well the pacific shark community is almost as big as the japanese community I heard, but they can just play on au or naw though
or I suggest a new proxy and that is the pacific ocean, we should host it in the north pacific
then we can have asia in singapore

the pacific sharks cant even pvp
no need to host in JP because even a noob can beat a pacific shark
getting 1401 elo for the pacific shark would be bigger than 3k elo for us

yeha and if they play factions, they're bad at pvp so they will keep buying lives and badlion will become richer than microsoft

I currently live in Malaysia with 10mbps internet and I get 85-130ms on Japanese servers. (Not sure if this is for everyone because I did Regedit, used Google DNS and Kohi TCPNoDelay mod, did some connection tweaks, etc to try improve ping and latency)So I think you should change your post from Malaysia to Japan to 100+ms not 140+ms.
Personally I would want to get better ping, so I would want it to be hosted in Singapore but I mean thats only thinking for myself right? (It's best to think for all even if though you don't get your best advantage you could've gotten) And so isn't the right decision globally.
Since most asian players are Japanese, I think it should be hosted in Japan because the chances of Badlion gaining more players is high and it would be more successful financially as well. kohi.asia which was hosted in Japan was pretty popular to most asian players and did pretty well, so I believe the chances of the server succeeding if hosted in Japan is 'proven' to be at least around 70% so you can't go wrong in hosting it here.
I mean if more players join regularly the chances of Badlion Asia to fail or shutdown is low right? For the asian players here, if you didn't know, MCGamer Network (MCSG) Asia was shutdown due to a lack of regular players and donations from their asian players so we don't want that to happen here do we? Since hosting it in Japan can gain many players, the chances of this failure is low. (Yes, I know comparing Badlion with MCGamer may not be such a great idea as they're both different but I thought I'll just put it there)
Whether its hosted in Singapore, Japan, Korea, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Taiwan, Thailand, India, anywhere in Asia… I mean we're asian players who usually plays with 170ms-350ms on most servers in US/EU/AU/CA so wherever its hosted in Asia, I'm sure most of us will appreciate it, because all of us no matter where in Asia will get at worst about 150ms or less with the help of at least 5mbps internet and most of us will be grateful for it :)
But my end decision for the benefit of all the owners, staff, players, and myself is:
+1JAP (no hate +1SG, I'm happy with either one)

You guys do know that the best locations to host an asian server is in either Palestine, Israel or Syria right? :bPosted on 09 July 2016 - 12:37 AM
