Hello, I'm Zach. I have been playing Minecraft competitive PvP for over two years now and if you are like me you have a large problem giving you a disadvantage in PvP. If you have ever used a bulky larger keyboard where the keys are more spread apart and bigger (like the razer deathstalker) makes it nearly impossible to use the numbers or to keybind other keys to go into positions into your hotbar because you would have to basically move your entire hand to hit the key. This can be annoying and make PvP really hard because you would have to take your hand of "w" to change to a bow or rod. Because of this I have resorted to using the scroll on the mouse for a long time now, the problem with that is when you use the scroll you tend to go to far or too short and miss your rod or sword then you are attacking your opponent with random items in your inventory…I have recently found a solution to my problems though. That is using a macros to rod with a press of 1 button on my mouse. What it is doing basically is taking a simple macros (2, right click, 1) and using that as an alternative to using the scroll wheel on my mouse or taking my chances on my keyboard. Using this simple keybind has really helped me in PvP and be able to play more competitively among others and makes rodding and using flint and steel easier for me to use. The only problem about this is the Badlion rules where they clearly state that MACROS is not allowed on their servers so when I play I'm forced to disable the macros when joining the server.
What I I'm proposing here is a slight modification to the rule on Macros (which I assume is to prevent autoclick) and allow people using macros as another way to use their rod or flint and steel than having to use the keyboard or take their chances with the scroll wheel.
The advantages of the Macros:
-Gives a third option to selecting items in the hotbar
-Makes pvp easier while keeping it fair
-Helps from over-scrolling and hitting wrong/missing keys
Disadvantages:
-Macro for the rod only lasts as long as you set it (can be too long or too short a lot of times)
-Timing between using rod slot and back to sword may be prolonged or shortened depending on pvp skill
Here is a screenshot of the macro I am using:

I'm just saying you don't need macros, just make the best of your situation;)Posted on 05 July 2016 - 11:06 AM

I said in the thread I tried but I would always over scroll and miss my sword and rod.

Uh this may be totally off topic, but what texture pack did you use in that video? It looks awesome.
