First of all i will like to start with that most people will probably agree that season 13 is awful. To start the ranking system is dreadful why is there no elo and you have to play 20 games before getting a rank dont have a clue why.
The Maps you cant even see the other side of most of them with 32 render distance why are they so big.
Because the maps are so big all people do is bow it my aswell be called "Bowlion" thats all people are doing know either give less arrows in kits like UHC,Build UHC or make the maps smaller.
The knockback is doesnt exist anymore no one takes kb.
Also the last thing Stop trying to make it so much like Kohi its Badlion
This is from playing 40 minutes of s13 alot needs to be changed.
Thanks

1. I agree the ranking system is bad, they should just use the elo system before.2. Yes, the maps are to large but with they should only be made a little bit smaller not that much smaller.
3. Yes, a lot more people bowspam, but they should just make it so you can't pick up arrows.
4. WTF if you rod people that take far too much KB.
5. Kohi merged with badlion so they are obviously gonna try to invent some kohi stuff in badlion.

Beta. None of this is set in stone yet. Some of these things I can understand why you hate it.Posted on 10 July 2016 - 01:08 PM

Pretty sure it works exactly as it used to, some parts just might not be done. We are working on cross server messaging and tabbing

How do I see the all other parties there are, and click to duel request them, like you could in older seasons? Why do I have the party options in my hotbar such a 2v2, 3v3, Party events, etc when I am not even in a party? Also, is there a way to toggle the s12 inventory party messages instead of the new chat ones? Also, are events and FFA's gone, or are they still a WIP?
Also, 1 more thing, you guys removed a ton of kits but didn't add any. Why? why is ironbuild gone?
Pretty much everything in your post is a WIP. The current beta is focused on the actual multiserver infrastructure and giving me data on whether the new rating system is working as intended.
A lot of kits were removed because they emulated the same thing or were poorly thought out. Both of these reasons weren't fair for people who want to be competitive in global.

All I think is that the new rating system is bad, because u can't really tell who is first on the leaderboards right?
Or how much elo do u need to get to be first…
S12 RATING SYSTEM PLEASE!

@Archybot I reckon you shouldn't be toying around with elo too much. Remember season 5? When elo was reworked? Everyone complained so much the season was cut short. And that effect was achieved just by altering the elo system.Elo should stay as it always has been.

No offense, but how are you gonna add all that in a week?
Most parts are done, just have to be hooked up. Also helps doubling our dev team.

And numbers do? The only number that shows how good you are is your position on the leaderboard, and that is staying. A 2k is great in potion ladders, while 2k is practically not even high on BuildUHC. People naturally group up number ratings into their own brackets, so we did it ourselves so there is not 100 systems out there.
Looking for 1800+
Looking for 1400+
Looking for 2k+
See my point?
And it's confusing because he have released no real information and you can't see the leaderboards as the devs and I are tweaking the values and numbers in the system.

ELO doesn't care about your last match, or any match you've played except the current on. If elo worked as intended, you should never lose to someone 1 point under you, EVER. In order to boost people up from 1400 faster, you can't use ELO. Our new rating system takes into accounts previous games, which allow rapid increase/decrease when it feels you don't belong where you are, and also allows forgiveness for an odd match/disconnect/etc.
Example - I'm using ELO terms, but it isn't ELO.
2k vs 2.5k - system believes both players belong where they are
The 2k wins the first game, he gains a decent amount of points and the 2.5k barely loses any - System believes it is a fluke but still rewards
The 2k wins again, he gains a good amount of points and the 2.5k loses a decent amount - system believes the 2k player might actually better, and the 2.5k might be slipping
The 2k wins again, he gains a good amount of points, the 2.5k loses a SHITTON - system now knows the 2k player is better, and the 2.5k no longer belongs at this rating
Now multiply that by a lot. A player that all of a sudden starts winning a lot will start climbing fast, while a player who starts losing a lot will start falling. A player who loses one or two in a while will not lose much at all. A player that goes about 50/50 will remain in his spot. A player that goes 75/25 will gain decently.

If it wasn't so broken, why does no major game released in the last decade use ELO??? ELO is literally made for chess, a highly strategical game where you should practically never lose to someone lower then you.
It's very broken
It's very hated
We have replaced it with systems miles ahead

So if I understood correctly, basically the new system allows you to
1) go up faster
2) fuck up sometimes without losing 31 elo to a 1.2k (cuz no 1.2k's xD)
3) stay consistent in the region you belong to
ye?

@*deleted-108752 with the new system they'll lose a few Elo, lose a few more elo, and then lose a shit ton. With the old system, they'll lose a shit ton of Elo, another shit ton, and another shit ton. I don't mind the new system at all, and if it protects you from disconnects as well and from random drains then I support it. The only thing about draining is that you'd have to be on a losing streak and in my opinion losing a few Elo and then a shit ton is much better than losing a shit ton constantly. Your argument isn't even valid at this point.
