Assuming you are well informed of the recent events on OCN related to gameplay balance between Minecraft versions, competitive team sizes, and gamemode popularity, will opinions coming from the OCN community play a role in the corresponding decisions made during the porting process? Discussions like these often considered to be overlooked in the past and it seems that a fair amount of OCN players would not like it to be overlooked again.Last edited on 17 July 2016 - 08:03 PM by Archybot

We mostly listen to the community. Stuff like teamsizes for competitive is decided on BL for the foreseeable future however.

Will you add games that are like mineplex gladiators, micro battle, and hypixel speed wallsPosted on 17 July 2016 - 08:20 PM
A bigger prize than the 5v5 tournament, wow!!Posted on 17 July 2016 - 08:54 PM
So will this be like a different server to connect to like Kohi Games or something else?Posted on 17 July 2016 - 09:00 PM
As has been implied in other posts on this thread, I think you (Badlion decision makers) might be surprised by the community's interest in Destroy the Core or Monument. Nothing like a good game of DTM on "The Nile."Posted on 17 July 2016 - 09:10 PM

Oh god I hate that map and how long it took every time unless you were fast and broke it right away

Is there a way that DTC can come to Badlion with the upcoming stuff because when I played OCN it was my favorite gamemode (especially the TNT ones). The other stuff in DTC took too long

What a pity, it's my favorite map :)EDIT: I personally don't mind a good long intense game. I especially like that one team can push forward on a central point like a sky bridge, and then maybe get pushed back; the game can sway in either teams favor, and then back the other way! Those games require great teamwork which I think is pretty awesome.

I'm a long time OCN player. Disappointed it's closing, and more disappointed Badlion isn't buying it. It's good to know some of the players will still be able to play TDM, CTF & CTW here though….as long as it's close to what OCN had. I play DTM & DTC mostly, so I'm basically in the position of watching & hoping for the time being. Will probably check out the TDM, CTF & CTW when they are released here, but can't see myself playing much without the other game modes. Anyways, good luck to Badlion & the OCN players looking to make this their new home.Posted on 17 July 2016 - 11:28 PM
If you wanna recreate OCN you have to readd The Nile, don't forget that. Too nostalgic to leave out >.>Posted on 17 July 2016 - 11:34 PM

Please don't disrespect me like this, it's one of the main reasons relationships between OCN administration and Badlion administration never smoothed over. The official announcement of 5v5 for OCN came on December 29, after our tournament was publicly announced. Another topic where Cratain put forward the idea of 5v5 literally says

This literally counters your exact "no external interests" stuff you've tried to pull over me several times. You knew every well that these youtuber teams were forming for the unannounced Badlion tournament, that was well known about through the famous/staff circles of BL for several months at that point. The main pusher of 5v5 on OCN was an ex tournament staff member of Badlion who would have known about our plans way way before it was even brought up in OCN internals, which is the reason why everyone high up in BL decision making has NDAs now.
Firstly, I honestly never intend to disrespect, so I'm sorry if I have. However, I feel like this is something you'll never trust me on, but I'm tired of only letting one side of a story be told. If you recall, when that thread was made, a certain "Youtuber team" had just released a widely viewed and discussed video talking about 5v5 with no mentions of any network affiliations in the video. We had a bit of a confrontation about that as well that I think was based on a misunderstanding. That video was in no way a catalyst for our decision, but a VERY timely coincidence that gave us another avenue in supporting our decision. The demand was obviously there for 5v5, and we were more than happy to provide it. And of course, if we're talking semantics, "no external interests" is never entirely possible, but my point was that our decision was not driven by outside influences like other networks or Youtubers. It was a move we had decided to make and were going to make no matter what any youtuber or other network said in regards to roster sizes.
If no matter what I say, you still won't believe me, I'll leave it at this. To others reading this, I can only guarantee on my integrity as a person that everything I've said here is true, and sometimes people misconstrue things into a nefarious tone when it is not necessary. Shit happens.

Archy, as a long time player on OCN and a guy with some pretty high stats on arena pvp, I honestly think it's better if we seperated teams and clans. You see the way you guys built clans was mainly for like an arena pvp purpose with clan battles. The way most clans recruit players in a clan is by usually looking at their global and their build from like s11 &s12 and you know a lot of OCN players don't aren't really a part of this arena pvp stuff. Arena pvp doesn't tell if a player is good at offending or defending, midlining or playing support you know that kinda stuff. Clan battles is sorta it's own thing you know and plus a clan with like tons of badlion arena players mixed with a bunch of OCN minded players is too much. I think it would be more organised if this OCN team stuff had its own lil thang so it wouldn't interfere with clans maybeh.Sorry it's like 12, need sleep, not English .-.

If there's one thing that could make me return to minecraft as a game, it'd be a Badlion version of OCN's gameplay. Can't wait to see what you have in store.
