Season 13 KB feedback
In season 12, if you were eating a gapple, a player could hit you only once, max twice before you get knocked back far so that they couldn't hit you again. Now, in Season 13, they keep hitting you until you try and hit them back because the kb is next to nothing. I can barely get combos on 1600's.

The KB is terrible and Season 13 as a whole is terrible. I want season 12.

I'm talking about S13 speed two Knockback.
My knowledge for the working of combat mechanics ended with minecraft 1.6, so please excuse me if my explanation seems a bit qualitative and uneducated.

Personally, although the kb is a lot better than the shitfest it was around the time of the merge, I still don't dig it that much.
It feels like there is way too much horizontal velocity and not as much vertical as it used to be, and heck, even if it's not meant to mimic Kohi's knockback, it kind of sucks. It's really hard to get any combos at all unless one player misses their hit due to poor aim (or a lagspike on their end). And when you do miss a hit, and a combo is initiated, you nearly always get triple hit and fly back, and the combo ends right there, making fights kinda boring and uncomfortable.
I have to give it to you guys. When the merge happened, kb was erratic, inconsistent and choppy. This new system has done wonders. Good job.
Another thing I noticed is that you take kb really fast. On the old kohi (and multiple other servers) knockback [is] was slower, giving more of a chance to initiate a combo. I honestly don't know (or think) this is really changeable and/or intentional but it'll allow for much smoother gameplay.
I have tried my best to keep this as concise as possible and give a brief review of the speed 2 kb.

If your attention span is as bad as mine, you'll need a TL;DR for even this short a post, so here it is:
    Knockback is too fast
    Knockback has too much horizontal and too little vertical
    hard to get combos

Speed II kb is fine, normal kb should go back to s12s kb. Rodding & combos in general are more difficult. There are too many fights that consist of only hit trades that are hard to back out of.

The non speed kb is a tiny but too low, people need to be knocked back when they are trying to close gap BUT make it so the 1.7 trick is still a thing when they are running from you is possible in speed 2

I think the kb is AMAZING. I get so much better hits. But everyone has delayed kb.

I didn't like it at first but now that I've played it for a while and I understand the ranking system, I think it's great.

Personally kb is decent just try and work on hit detection because someone can hit me and as much as I try I cant hit back for some odd reason

It's basically no kb, its so annoying when you're low and try to run and rod but you can't because they literally bounce in the air once then land.

I personally don't like the new kb. I would prefer the kb from season 12 in non speed fights. Its nearly impossible to get good combos with the kb badlion has atm.

BuildUHC Ladder:

Personally for me, a guy that plays NA with 100 ms, in BuildUHC when I fight somebody I dont take kb and they dont kb. We ultimately trade hits until somebody runs or dies. This is very annoying as me having 100 ms usually wont get the last hit. In Season 12 the kb was better and people actually took kb from the rod and sword.

For Speed Ladders:

For Speed 2 it's terrible, literally nobody takes KB. It's worse than non speed KB. 90% there are no kb trades then 10% people take kb but go flying. This affects NoDebuff, Debuff, and Vanilla. Personally to me the KB feels the same as the KB right after the merge.


PS: This is coming from a guy with 100 ms so if you have significantly different ping reconsider the hit registration might be different.

The vertical kb needs to be pumped up a bit but the biggest problem is the hit detection.

I love it. Unranked build is amazing. But the KB is very fucked up and I really hope you can bring NA WEST back I got 10 ping there and 110 to east :(
