I just want to start this out by saying I know removing west was most likely a tough decision but i want to speak my mind right now. So, when i first heard about the whole getting rid of the west proxy and server, at first I was a little annoyed, but then as time passed my anger over this topic began to grow. I was a west player until the server was removed and now i have to go back to 120 ping to badlion. I know west was rushed as you stated ,but then you decide to remove it completely instead of working on it and reconstructing the server. Then after that you add Asian servers which almost on a consistent basis have 0-10 players on it. This decision is honestly irritating me and the whole west community because you remove west which had close to 500-1000 members or more then add asian server which adds 0-10 players so when it up badlion gained basically -990 players. TBH, i used to look forward to playing badlion when i get home from school and playing west UHC and grinding elo but now i can't do any of these things thanks to you guys. The worst part of it all was that you didn't let the community have any say in it when were the ones who actually play on the server. Can you at least consider bringing west back.@MasterGberry

It was a business related choice I think. They probably weren't making money from it and it was super laggy and unstable so yeah that's my guess. "Reconstruct it" it takes a lot more than two words to complete something like that, it isn't easy. 120 ping isn't bad, it has its advantages you just have to get used to it and get used to the changes.Posted on 23 July 2016 - 01:04 AM

120 ping is not even bad to begin with. Asians get at least 250 ping to every single server. Also your point of Asia having 0-10 players is pretty stupid. Earlier on when Asia was released there were around 250 players even though it was broken, but west only peaked at 130. That's nearly twice the amount of players.Posted on 23 July 2016 - 04:38 AM
Did you even read the thread?"1. NA-West was a rushed and stupid decision to open. It was not properly analyzed like the other regions and looking back it should never have been opened.
2. While about 20% of our player base is actually on the west coast the amount of people playing on NA-West does not properly correlate with the amount of people living on the west coast. People opt to just play NA-East because ping is not a huge factor in Minecraft and there is a much larger player base.
3. The number of hardware/networking issues has been way too numerous and we have lost time and money on this "region"."

Read the announcement. We have listed our reasons, it is not coming back until at least 2017.
