Aim/Accuracy is all that matters
An OG named @Sprint only clicked like 6 cps but his aim was amazing and got high on the leaderboards
you two obviously don't click very fast then

Then why do so many sg/uhc players click so slow and a lot of pot pvpers click so fast?
Oh yeah, and Hivlik even said cps "matters a lot more in, like, rod ladders, but I don't know why."
ill find the exact video

I click 10 CPS. I play just as well without, I just FEEL like I play better.

As long as you get 5, there is nearly no difference. I know the definition of placebo, otherwise why would I use the word? And are you saying that I'm lying that WhatDefinesYou didn't get 2.4k with 5 cps? It's a placebo.

There is a huge difference.

There is a huge placebo. It barely affects anything. I might save one tick in the hit reg but in the Minecraft code the difference between 5 cps and 5000 is just 50ms max. That's irrelevant.

Placebo isn't the perfect word to use. It makes such a minor difference. Clicking 5 cps with a good beat (so you always click when you get a hit) can be as good if not better than 15 cps. By me jitter clicking, I play better. I know I do. I do better against the same players. When I jitter normally (aim isn't affected) I get 10cps and good aim. When I jitter hard I get 10 cps and terrible aim, but I feel like I play better when I jitter hard. I don't deny that there is technical merit to clicking faster, but it's so minute it's barely even a factor.

When I click harder. Normally I just slightly depress my click, but jittering hard is more hitting the lmb.

That's the thing. There's no logical reason I should play better, but I feel like I do.

I mean to say that I don't get better cps and I get worse aim. There are literally no positives, but I feel like I play better.

@Metarus because you don't know how Minecraft works and think high cps doesn't do anything:Excelia wrote
I was drunk(not rlly) when i made this post.
I thought 10ms =1 sec
That's wrong but the main idea can still be seen.
Thanks H2Q for pointing it out.

Many people believe click speed doesn't matter, or Minecraft only registers 10 cps or 4 cps.
I'm going to put an end to this here.
Example:
Each server has a different set hit delay speed. (Some servers registers clicks faster than others; if you've ever played on mineplex, you would know that clicking fast there is a big deal.)
Lets say Server 1 has a hit delay of 4 ms
Here is a diagram of the hit delay of the server:
I____I____I____I____I____I____I____I____I____I____I
The "__" area is when the server registers your click/hit. "_" Is one ms (millisecond)
The "I" areas is where the person hits, or when the server hit delay is over.
Here is a diagram of a person who clicks 10 cps or every 0.1 of a second:
I_I_I_I_I_I_I_I_I_I_I_I_I_I_I_I_I_I_I_I_I_I_I_I
Here is a diagram of a person who clicks 6 cps or every 0.6 a second:
I______I______I_____I______I______I_____I
Now lets put these diagrams together:

Getting the hit before your opponent is very vital, as many pvpers know, as you can get a combo on the person your fighting.
So here's a short summary:
-Click speed does matter
-Faster click speed increases your chances of getting a combo
But you always have to keep in mind LATENCY of sending packets to the server and receiving them , RANGE of your melee attacks , and when your crosshair is on your opponents HITBOX (aim).
If I said anything wrong, please let me know.
