Warning: opinions belowI don't play badlion much anymore for certain reasons which i dont feel like explaining right now, but there is a small problem that may just be my view on it, many will probably disagree, but this is what I think.
I don't enjoy the build uhc ladder at all, and hundreds of people queue for that ladder. I like playing other ladders like UHC, Adv UHC (when it was around), Archer, even iron or diamond - I enjoy bowfights, and those were the bow based ladders that i could have a bowfight in. With almost everyone queing for Build UHC, it causes a problem that nobody queues for the other ladders. It takes upwards of 5-10 minutes at times just to get into a ranked or unranked UHC match, which i find kindof annoying. The curve between the people that play build vs the other ladders is so large, so when people that dont want to queue for build but want to do other ladders (iron, diamond, uhc, etc.) have to wait a very long time, whereas in build it rarely takes longer than a minute (from personal experience).
In turn, this is also a slight problem with the new ranking system. With so many people queueing for build, the new rank system works best for that ladder. But other ladders that rarely get played can't get their rank up since so few people play (not saying elo should come back, i liked the old and i like the new).
That's about all i wanted to say. So many people queue for build which leads to almost nobody queueing for other ladders that a minority find more fun.

I know where you are coming from. Although I do enjoy Build UHC a lot, I like other ladders too and nobody usually plays them. I personally have trouble getting into ranked SG games sometimes even though it's one of the more popular ladders besides build. I wish more people would play other ladders. I hate pretty much every ladder except Potpvp and build. Pot is my favorite but all the other ladders are too bowspam you and don't get me started on horse. Vanilla is the only bowwy ladder that I like :PBuild UHC is a growing meme, it's never going to die

Yea, when S13 started, I wasn't gonna do Build that much. I was going for ladders like SG, UHC, Iron, (Maybe NoDebuff). Now nobody plays those ladders, each season its gotten worse for how much people play Build and other ladders decreasing in popularity. Hopefully S14 changes that.Posted on 19 August 2016 - 06:31 PM
IMO I feel like they should implement something similar to the unranked ladders. Promoting a single ranked ladder with unlimited matches so players(of course non-donors) would queue up. Certainly this cant happen everysingle day but maybe 1-2 days per week.Posted on 19 August 2016 - 06:58 PM

No.
This is if you're in a ladder with people actually queueing for it but no one in their rank range.

The new system automatically puts you against anyone in the queue if you've been waiting for 20 seconds.

Now, I can just wait ~15 seconds, then type in chat, and I'll queue the first person that joins. I sigh in relief.
