The system actually is designed to help people who have been waiting in queue for a while to get a match, but it's not perfect and kits with less people are going to sadly take longer.Last edited on 05 September 2016 - 08:38 AM by DerRevilos
I really think the rating System is good. But maybe Players should get rewards for playing other kits than just BuildUHC ^^. I'm not a bad Player and I'm not a PvP legend. For me it's really hard to Play ladders which aren't played a lot. When I Play Debuff for example mostely either I Play against the top Players or against Players, which say "NO! Wrong Kit.". Same kits are more difficolt to Play not because they Need more skill or something, just the Player on this kit are a lot better than in other kits. So it isn't fun playing up my global Rating. So my Suggestion would be:
Having the global ladder as a own Queue, which lets you Play all the differnt kits. Like when you join the Glabal Queue it will put you in a match with one of the 12 kits.
I know this won't have a lot affect on the single kits directly. But maybe Player will start liking kits they never played because the get forced to Play them in the global ladder and then try to Play up the specific kit ladder.

what if you just added this to a second range?
for instance we have the regular range, right. if you're gold V you can queue with silver V to emerald V without force.
there would be a second range, say i dunno bronze III to diamond III has the feature you came up with. that gives a broader range for people like me waiting forever but you arent consistently fighting people way out of your league

dunno if that by itself would make people want to play something other than build, but i agree there should be something encouraging players to play other ladders. most build sweats have like 500 build games played and 0-5 matches played on other ladders. i really have no idea why people like build so much anyway but i assume because its more of a better-tactic ladder than a better-skill ladder so they usually arent very good at other ladders

@DerRevilos @HivlikLower the daily ranked matches to 15, but with each different ladder you play that day, you get 2 ranked matches back? You make a profit of 1 more match for playing other ladders so it encourages you to play them.
Good idea or naw

Don't think so. Players just vote to get more Matches. Also a lot of active playing Players have Donator.

i am trying to encourage players to play other ladders. majority of people arent donator. it will be pretty affective i think

Part of the issue is that late season inflation hasn't happened yet. You're too far ahead of the curve.Last edited on 06 September 2016 - 07:53 AM by iHackLiTE

not really. if you look at ImIced's video for a mmr to elo comparison, trying to convert mmr directly into elo, emerald V is around the 2000 elo mark. meaning im over 2200 elo. its not going to get much more inflated than what it already is.

There must be some way to encourage people to play things other than build. I think part of the problem now, though, is that there are just fewer people playing ranked in general.Posted on 06 September 2016 - 08:42 AM

Well when they ruin ladders like UHC, players like me decide to say "fuck it, I'm not playing this season"

That's build only, the scale is likely very different for other ladders. Think of the current state of inflation as if the highest Build elos were currently 2400 (Damteh at Diamond IV). Last season, Danteh got to 2800 (Masters). So there's still around 4 ranks of build inflation to go. I'm not sure how exactly that will translate to pot ladders, but my point is that things aren't as inflated as you think.
EDIT: And most everyone else in the top 20 is Emerald II (2200) when you needed 2400-2500 (Diamond IV - III) to get there at the end of last season.

okay, yes, build hasnt reached its peak because more players play it and therefore it takes longer for ratings to even out. but that doesnt mean it hasnt inflated to almost its maximum with other ladders, such as nodebuff, the one i made this thread revolved around. there arent many people playing it so it doesnt take long to get the rating evenly distributed
also, elo was very different in other ladders as well. danteh got 2800 build, and people were barely getting 2300 in pot ladders. the max elo is pretty dependent on the amount of people that play, because that affects the amount of available elo/rating
